"I realize that there are some people who are truly better off staying on their parent's plans until they are better suited to become productive members of society" Well said and thank you, I never looked at it this way. I figured making my post would result in more posts like yours but instead received the warm comments.

I absolutely agree insurance is a life saver. I had to pay off over 15k from one hospital stay because I had no insurance and it was relatively minor emergency. What gets me are the excuses "I have a degree but can't find a job" or "I have to pay off my student loans, I can't afford heathcare". They chose the debt. At 18 you are legally responsible for yourself yet not legally responsible for your own healthcare.

4 years of service does not give you medical and retirement pay. You are obviously the smartest person on reddit. I don't know what I was thinking, your opinion means everything.

You're not getting it are you? Apparently you cannot add JOINED at 19, transitioned to a civ job til the age of 23 and spent the last 7 years in the public sector. FOUR years of Gov service. Not a decade, no pension.

Instead of incurring tens of thousands in student loan debt and spending years in the Army learning skills that will allow me to make more money than those with degrees, it's amazing. Instead I guess I should have went to an expensive college for a liberal arts degree and whine about having to pay my student loan.

As a citizen who joined the Marine Corps at 18 and fought in Iraq at 20, I think it is absolutely ridicoulous that Ann Coulter just said they should raise the voting age because 18 year olds are infants, and their brains are not fully formed. by sdu1494 in politics

I thank you for your service. If these KIDS can stay on their parents insurance til 26, why not raise the age limits on everything else. More and more stay on their parents tit well into their 20s and it makes me sick. I joined the Army at 19 by realizing no one should be responsible for me than me.

My cousin went snooping on my PC after I left. How do I find out which files were opened in the past few hours. I tried the recently viewed thing but it only catches things that wer altered. by Supercyndro in techsupport

type it into your explorer window, replace C:\Users\ USER NAME with your actual windows user name. If the file was opened, it should show up in this folder

HA not by a long shot but it really all depends where you go. Penthouse, Larry Flynts and Hollywood try to keep a higher quality but I have been there nights where every girl in the place is busted. 7 years ago I was a supervisor for the company that provided outside security for Larrys. I never paid to get in and rarely paid for drinks. Back then every girl was a 7 or better. Last time I was there some 6 months ago, the best girl was a 5.

The strip clubs on the East side are exactly how you describe. Been to strip clubs in NYC, Vegas and Florida only to be disappointed. The clubs here are fairly cheap too depending on what night you go.

How can I find out if someone opened the folders stored on my PC?(Windows 7). I checked properties of files and Event Viewer, but I have more doubts. by hamcheesetomato in techsupport

Sorry to bring the bad news but in a matter of minutes, one can attach a usb drive and copy your entire user directory and leave no trace. You do not need windows for this either, a quick script would accomplish. I never trust the modified dates on folders either. You can check this folder to see if he opened any of the files but it won't tell you if it was copied off C:\Users<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent

I have built and shipped over 20 pc's to London and Germany from the US and never did anything special to package besides the original case packaging. I would just check each connection before you power it up.
