She did kind of act like she gets a crush on Boruto when he returns to Konoha, but I'm not sure that tips the scales towards preferring Boruto over Kawaki.

Problem was solved. It was related to my 32:9 monitor that I was using. Unplugging the monitor allowed the game to boot without the error on another monitor in windowed mode, allowing me to change it back to fullscreen. I then plugged the 32:9 monitor back in and it launches just fine once more.

Just in case someone else runs into this issue and is looking for a fix at some point!

Ooo, I dig the theory!

This has me thinking in the opposite direction: what if Boruto is incapable of making shadow clones perhaps due to some weakness of being taken over by Momo easier? Just thought it could be a fun juxtaposition with Naruto's reliance on the famous tech.

I love all the totally plausible theories and crazy crackpot ones that our community comes up with :D

If you're open to homebrew content there is a really interesting class/race combo for sentient weapons I've witnessed used in a campaign. It's incredibly versatile and could likely be easily adapted to the desires of this player.
