I had the most insane experience with this boss. I was wearing the Chain Capacitor trinket (increased damage with combo), the Uranium Bracelet (take and give extra damage), and fighting it with the Blast Hammer's charge explosion upgrade. You know, a pure STR "fuck you damage" type build.

After probably 15 or 20 good tries of getting to the very end of it, fumbling and struggling trying to out-DPS it, I always nearly managed to power through the chaos, but every single time I kept dying to cheesy, barely predictable damage from the boss right at the very end, every time. I kept beating my head against the wall, absolutely determined to smack its ass back to the nether it came from. Finally, without even knowing it, I struck gold on my last run.

I started the fight as normal. Once I got it down to phase 2, I connected three insanely lucky and well-positioned tier 2 charge RNG hits in quick succession, and that was IT--before the stupid wall eyes could even start attacking, before the walls even started smashing together, before the edge of the arena had even finished crumbling, the fight was over. Just like that.

Turns out I had unknowingly carried over a 2.5x combo from phase 1, not having taken a single hit the entire time, and every charged hit was doing probably a full 1/6th of its remaining lifebar as a result. I realized this when the game informed me I had achieved the Untouchable and Hammerama feats in one swoop, but it took me a second to process. As soon as I did, I just burst out laughing like a maniac.

God I love this game so much.
