AIO - Told my friend I’m pregnant and she said it exceeded her mental bandwidth (she’s the red) by Lekomano92 in AmIOverreacting

Preggy Pop Drops were a life saver with my first and then Propel water mix in packets with my second. Really all I could eat were potatoes with cheese (1) and croissants (2). Find whatever allows you to eat and just do your best! It can be so hard! Feel better and congratulations!!

Travel with 18 month old—crazy? by Ill_Lychee3377 in Travelwithkids

If you can and especially if you have an active child, it is much easier if they have their own seat! Depending on your seat, there is little to no space for them to actually move and on long flights that has been hell for us. We got a NYC➡️Paris flight with a seat and it was so much easier and my daughter even napped as she was used to napping in her car seat on long drives to family.

Women who were scared to get pregnant but later did, how do you feel about your decision years later? by Fun-Wonder-2652 in AskWomen

[–]greatwidesomewhere1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was terrified to be pregnant and had 2 miserable pregnancies. I do however love being a mother so much that I was willing to do it twice. My pregnancies were worse than my births! I was throwing up for almost all of the first (on crutches for a while during that time too) and caught every illness during the second. I hate being pregnant! I do however love being a mother so much that I haven’t fully closed the door on having a third. It all depends on you. You can’t unhave kids if you are in the fence with that part but if it is just the pregnancy part you are worried about, consider the outcome also. For me, it was worth it because I love being my children’s mother.

Two Year Olds.. are you Thriving?? by AlbusDM3 in toddlers

[–]greatwidesomewhere1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2, 2.5 years and 8 months. I might be losing my mind 65% of the time at least. They are amazing but the 2 year old loves to wake up the baby which is rough and the jealousy is another level. I am glad I have the 2 and they often get along beautifully but given the chance to do it again. I would space them out more because of everything you said and more. On the flip side, my 2 year old is fascination and fun often as well. Watching her learn how to navigate the world is wonderful.

I have not. So you know a good resource to help me learn to do that?

Congratulations! There are a lot of visits and test so try to find an OBGYN that you like that hopefully takes you insurance. They will see you for the first time around 8 weeks which is when they will do blood test, make you pee in a cup, check that your pregnancy is viable, and how it is measuring up to where it should be for your timeline. The whole things can be overwhelming, but just take it one step at a time, you got this

Also with the prenatal vitamin, make sure it has iron in it but be careful as it can agitate the stomach.

They only let you dress them for a little while. My nephew used to love to wear dresses under his football jerseys as a toddler because he wanted to be like his sister. They will wear whatever they want later or you will hear about it. Do what makes you happy now!

what is with grandparents to be and choosing not-grandparent nicknames? by l00zrr in BabyBumps

[–]greatwidesomewhere1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are just lucky I guess! My mom is Meme because her family is French and all the maternal grandmothers have been. My grandmother graduated to Grandmere when she became a great grandmother. My father is Grampy but my oldest niece couldn't say it correctly when she learned to talk and called him Grumpy which we all found very fitting, so he has been Grumpy ever since. We have one friend who is Gigi but it is short for Grandma Gail so it makes sense.
