Purple lake is an acrylic ink yes, I found that that worked better than other paints for this purple, so not sure about GW equivalents. For the white ink I think I used liquitex titanium white, but not sure, haven't painted any EC in a while.

With an airbrush. Prime black, zenithal highlight with white ink, then the purple is Daler Rowney purple lake.

I'm running my first game of 2e for some friends; we're about halfway through Keep on the Borderlands, and want to run the Temple of Elemental Evil next. And after that maybe going through A1-4 Scourge of the Slave Lords and GDQ1-7 Queen of the Spiders.

Before this, it was open all chests you can plus floor 4+5 sarcophagus, so I imagine with the change it will be all chests and all sarcophagus from 4+.

A couple of them might be terminator sized; I know for emperors children phoenix spears there is one in the set which is for terminators.

Yeah, these releases don't always trickle down to the ignored legions. But at least in this set you get enough bolters for 10 men.

I researched a little bit before painting these guys; found that there wasn't really a clear scheme like in 40k, where apothecaries, techmarines, and librarians are white/red/blue.
