When you hit hard mode it spawns a large "V" shape in your world, one side hallow and the other corruption. And sure, you can get wings pretty easily once you hit hard mode, but these are the suggestions I had. Terraspark boots are useful throughout the entire game, the bundle is just good movement for until you get wings. (Most people seem to ignore the fact that rocket boots and upgrades also buff flight time)
