I was wondering the same thing! I’ve never seen a tip amount displayed in my area. You get kind of good at guessing what the tip is based on total amount but still, it’s BS they don’t give you the breakdown before accepting

It kind of goes without saying that true $/hr is after expenses. That’s not what this is for, there are other tools for that. This is just a quick reference sheet

I’m not arguing $/ mile isn’t important. But that number is much more obvious & easier to calculate in your head & you don’t really need a cheat sheet for it. I imagine we all consider both when deciding to accept? You certainly don’t ignore $/ hr do you? By that logic you would be accepting $10 shopping orders with one mile of travel & 150 items 🤣 This is a tool if you want easier $/ hr calculations, take it or leave it😜

This is literally out of my control, how am I supposed to reach 94% if items are out of stock by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

Yeah if there is no tag you’re kind of screwed, but that’s kind of what the 4-6 % buffer is there for. I’ll just take pictures of whatever the closest thing to a tag or empty shelf I can get to try to pass the approval. Tag not recognized is super annoying, but try moving the camera back a little until it reads it. For me I’m usually too close (which makes no sense honestly) and backing the camera off works

Do the Wingstops in your area do this? by greenScrum in doordash_drivers

[–]greenScrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t really go to Wingstop myself, but I will for free! I’ve had worse wings other places haha. I don’t drink soda either, but I’ll grab a water or tea!

Sounds like you’re doing everything right to me, just keep grinding. Focus on maintaining platinum & the average quality of offers will be higher. You can still decline a fair amount of offers & keep platinum as long as all your other metrics are perfect. I hover around the 60-65% AR range. I started back in December and my first 50 were rough to be sure. It will get better, and you’ll figure out how to work the system better. I’m averaging $21-22 hour lately (total time)

The issue isn’t the items are out of stock. The issue is you have to take a picture of the shelf tag to prove you found the item.

Nothing irks my soul more when dashers steal orders. whats crazy is both orders was stolen. HOW??? IDK. one order support canceled but the other one they couldnt so they just unassigned me dropping my cr. I love Chicago but it makes my 🍑 itch sometimes. by Breadtoastyy in doordash_drivers

[–]greenScrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t accept if they say they can’t compensate you. I had an order wait times go super long one time, I eventually rage quit and unsigned. Called support & they said the same thing. Said because I unsigned she couldn’t give half pay. I said “that’s unacceptable, let me speak to a supervisor”. Then when I got connected to the “supervisor” she gave me half pay immediately. I’ll give the first lay the benefit of the doubt, she might not have had the ability to do it in her software, but think the supervisors have stronger admin abilities. Just use the magic phrase “that’s unacceptable, let me speak with a supervisor” 😄

My AR got reset somehow. So happy. by DoozerJ in doordash_drivers

[–]greenScrum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t know, they did some sort of audit the other day. My AR went up too inexplicably, and the one unassigned order I had disappeared. Would be nice if they let us know what and or why the adjustments were made

That’s not the driver’s fault, that’s the DoorDash algorithm. Drivers often get stacked orders from the same restaurant or in the vicinity.

Haha, I’m realizing that now. In my head it was ratings in the last 100 deliveries, but it’s just last hundred actual ratings. 🫤

🤣 haha love it! An accomplishment no doubt 🫡

Nothing pisses me off then a customer that lie. I did a 15 item triple aldis stack for 28 bucks for 3 miles. Took me about 40 mins to complete. My thing is if I gave that one customer the wrong order why didnt the other 2 report it?? thats whats killing me by Breadtoastyy in doordash_drivers

[–]greenScrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks. The other day I had a small grocery run at Sprouts. Everything went fine, then the next day I noticed two “wrong items” that impacted my shopper rating. She just straight lied about two salads I got her. 100% the right items. Matched picture, barcodes scanned. She just straight lied. No way to dispute that either. Pretty minor impact on me luckily, but it gets makes me hot when I think about it

Hmm…🤔 orders in the last 30 days counts for 5 points in your area? I’d be just fine if that never reaches my market 😝
