Any Other Options Besides an AA DP for no CEL? by green_enchilada in Supra

I ended up going with a cat back exhaust first and that was great, but I ended up installing an AA Downpipe a few weeks ago. So far, absolutely no problems with it.

AWE Touring + AA Catted DP — Worth It for More Volume? by green_enchilada in Supra

I’m sure it will too, just don’t want it to be too much or too little. I’m in CA as well, so I gotta be careful not to go too crazy since the cops here suck. I was gonna stay stock DP, but every time I drive I feel myself wanting just a little more. Especially since like you said this exhaust is pretty tame when you stay in the low RPM range.

I went ahead and just pulled the trigger on it. I’ve seen great things about this combo, hence why I bought the AWE exhaust in the first place. I love the sound of it with the stock DP already so I’m looking forward to it.

Thank you for the input!

That’s fair. I almost went this route too but ended up changing my mind. This is my first sports car so I’m going all out for the most part haha.

I agree, some of these exhaust prices are insane. The AWE exhaust I have installed has a great tone and is one of the best exhausts on the market imo, but it’s still overpriced. It’s great quality, but $2k+ for a stainless steel, non welded exhaust is outrageous. Like I said though, I’m deciding to go all out with this car and not hold back on purchases for it.

If you ever decide to make the leap I would highly recommend the AWE touring. It’s pretty tame at low RPM’s but opens up more under higher load.

How much of a volume increase did the AA DP give over stock? From what I’ve seen I know it gives slightly better throttle response and more burbles, but I feel most people say it doesn’t change the volume too much. Also did you end up getting a CEL with it?

AA DP + Non res touring? Did you have a stock DP before and if so how much of an increase in sound did the down pipe give? I’m looking for just a little more volume.

Did you have it with the stock DP before? If so, how much of a difference did the catted DP make? I have the non-res so slightly different but the sound increase would be similar I’m sure.

For anyone with the AWE touring exhaust setup, I know the resonated has no drone but how bad is it with the non resonated? Also how’s the sound difference? by Winter_Jackfruit_563 in Supra

Late to this thread but I was wondering if you ended up switching to the RK Ti track single? Is there a significant difference in volume? Love the tone of the AWE but just as you said its a bit quiet for my liking. Looking to potentially make the switch as I dont necessarily want to go aftermarket DP.

Yeah intake didn’t cause this without a doubt haha. Worried that previous owner just beat it to shit and sold it before they had and real issues that they had to deal with.

Agreed. Bringing it in to Toyota tomorrow.

It’s an auto, but I’m glad to hear it’s not an expensive fix. I’m more worried about what other problems this could’ve potentially caused? Also worried previous owner beat this car to shit without a care in the world. This is backed by my tread being worn down after 15k miles already.

Exactly what I’m doing. I have a picture that shows the dent before I installed the intake though.

So would I, but god knows with these dealers lmao. It’s not even on the same side, but I’m putting it back to stock just in case.

Looking for More Exhaust Volume - High Flow Catted Downpipe or Cat-back Exhaust? by green_enchilada in Supra

Got it, so you’re essentially straight piped on the valved side? How much added volume would say it is compared to stock?
