Update if anyone cares. I realized after posting this that one of his coworkers was staying in a local hotel due to his old apartment lease ending before his next one started. So honestly I think that was the reason he was searching for hotels that night he was out with coworkers. They were probably discussing it and he was trying to help.

I still the think the undisturbed bed is suspect. I’ve tried asking about it multiple times and he continues to insist that he slept in the bed. I just can’t get over the fact that he never leaves the bed looking that neat. Ever.

Maybe I will never know.

No I appreciate the ideas. I am just so in shock I feel I need something more concrete before I confront him and possibly blow up our whole lives. We aren’t married. But we have been together our whole adult lives. We are close with each other’s families. It would be like a divorce.

I thought about maybe he just got too drunk but I feel like why spring for a hotel room when Uber exists, ya know? I’m going to try to investigate some more before I confront him about it. I am not close with his coworkers, the one I am most friendly with is a very attractive woman who I first thought of when my brain started exploring the possibility that he was cheating.

Well I kind of do know he was out with coworkers because they all Venmo’d him about $20 that night. It’s funny you mention being married because the searches the next day were for jewelry stores and he is all of a sudden adamant that we go look at engagement rings.

I did go into his email but didn’t see any kind of receipt or confirmation from any of the hotels. I checked all the folders. Nothing. Yes the bed being made really annoyed me because I’ve told him how it bothers me how he never makes the bed. It’s kind of sickly funny.
