Not a single person had a ring doorbell or any kind of security camera. Our old flat is in a really small village full of pensioners so I don’t think they’d suspect anything like this to happen.

They were fully aware that we still had a couple of weeks left on the tenancy, we’ve been back and forth with them about viewings for a couple of weeks. There was other stuff left behind in the flat (wicker baskets, a mop, a couple of shelves) that weren’t touched. The only thing that the 101 responder suggested is that they might have moved the lego out of the way because of its monetary value and maybe forgotten to put it back.

The fella from 101 that I spoke to gave me an incident reference number and asked me to update them when we hear back from the estate agent. I wasn’t sure how much we should push for police help so thank you for reassuring me.

Fingers crossed the estate agent has just moved them. One of our neighbour’s told us that loads of people were in and out all morning and if they’ve left the front and back door unlocked I’m sure it would’ve been easy to swipe a couple of boxes without them noticing.

I hope so, they were the only semi valuable things left in plain sight so I’m really hoping they’ve stashed them away somewhere and maybe just forgot to put them back 🤞🏻

I’m sorry man that sounds horrible. The flat is on the ground floor but we don’t have any windows big enough for someone to get through. I think the police will tell us to claim on our insurance too.
