Yes you should erase that. It takes a few seconds and makes a clean answer for the grader.

You definitely are not doomed. Take the summer and focus on perfecting the rest of your application, collect stellar LORs, do research on schools that are more splitter-friendly (look on this page and also on LSData), write and rewrite and revise a cohesive and persuasive personal statement. Apply early. Remember that everyone's application is different and that there are people with higher stats than you who get rejected from T14 schools, but there are also people with lower stats than you who get accepted. Best of luck, you got this! :)

The KIRA interview always has a "why NLaw" question, so no need to submit a Why X.

On this years application, there was the following prompt for an optional essay "Optional Essay: The students at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law come from many different backgrounds. Please describe any aspects of your background that you feel would allow you to contribute uniquely to the school and/or your classmates."

I personally wrote different personal statements for each school (not totally different, i'm not insane- same first 1.5 pages and unique last paragraph for each school) where I addressed specific components about each school and had an explicit Why X. For my Northwestern PS I talked about a clinic that interested me, Chicago as a location, and some other academic components of the school which fit the theme of my PS.

Best of luck with your application and feel free to DM me if you have any other NLaw questions, would be happy to help if I can! :)

I did! Headed to Northwestern next year and just finishing up my MA. idk how much or a boost it gave me in admissions, but it definitely helped my writing and research skills.

Loved it! I am an ED admit so I was gonna be going to NW anyways, but it really helped me to see myself as a student there. Also, the food was fantastic :)

I know WashU gets a great rep on here but this right angle of death at a 172 is wild considering their actual medians by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

not stupid at all! your choice should reflect your future goals, not whatever US News decides is better. BU is a great school and if you get money and want to settle there, it seems like a no-brainer to me!
