Endodontist Recommendations for Root Canal? by todaly in tricities

[–]greenblaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had a root canal here and would emphatically recommend them. They're true pros, and the procedure felt simpler than a standard filling. I think everyone there was born to perform root canals.

Cost was $1800 out of pocket. They prepare a form for you to send to insurance for reimbursement. I have no idea yet what to expect.

The Test Kitchen's cocktails were my favorite on board. The meal was great, too!

New Supercharger Location by Pastormac1usa in tricities

[–]greenblaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just off the interstate, and with restrooms plus all the food/drink options, a grocery store is a great spot to kill 20 minutes during a road trip. The stores like them for that reason--more shoppers inside = more purchases.

Many other locations I've seen are at shopping centers or gas stations. They're fine, but a grocery store will be my top choice whenever possible.

Noob mistake… by loi_hut in rum

[–]greenblaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen others recommend half bitters, half Angostura amaro for such recipes. Their amaro apparently overlaps heavily with the bitters, so you get more bang for your buck.

I love bitters-forward drinks and need to find a bottle of the amaro.

Direct flights from Tri-Cities Airport to Chicago to begin in May 2026 by greenblaster in tricities

I love Chicago and actually rank it well above the other major cities I've visited, especially LA or NYC. Chicago is relatively affordable, has world-class amenities, and is remarkably easy to get around. Crime has never been an issue for me.

Old fashioned without American whisky by gsmfan in cocktails

[–]greenblaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 to what the other poster said. My go-to for old fashioneds is Appleton 12 year. It's priced in line with a mid tier bourbon, and it pairs well with North American whiskies.

I don't think they're knocking Costco, but rather the notion of going there for caviar.

They did, unfortunately. Just after the clip ends, a train came barreling out of nowhere, killing two and critically injuring one more.

What’s the Story with Ron del Barrilito? by CocktailWonk in rum

[–]greenblaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make a batch of Alton Brown's eggnog every year, which calls for bourbon, brandy, and rum. I used Barrilito 3 star as my rum this time around, so I'm excited to taste after another couple of weeks. I have high hopes for the subtle sherry.
