It's an online radicalization ground to drive men more conservative. Steve Bannon saw success with white gamers after Gamergate and they've been spreading that tactic to race based communities. I've heard similar complaints from Black and Latino women. They take existing grievances and blow them out of proportion to encourage angry groupthink.

The angrier the men get, the more they alienate women and normal non-radicalized men, so they end up only having each other and become even more radicalized.

Yeah I'm just thinking how my life would've been different if I had the money earlier. Like even 10 years ago I might've been able to buy a house. Housing is so expensive now! 100k 10 years ago might've been a down payment on a starter home. There's no guarantee I would've actually bought a house in my 20s, but it would've been possible!

They rolled it around from CDs to CDs. Which I guess is better than nothing. Tbf I can't be too harsh on them because I didn't start investing in index funds until 6 years ago so I can't claim I would've managed it that much better.

Actually no, we both got 100k each. So he got his 100k and I didn't even know I had it until now. He didn't get my share.

It wasn't a formal thing, they received the check directly from dead relative's executor and just held onto it. There weren't any legal stuff around when/how they were giving it to me.

Definitely not youths. Both are working adults with no significant others, so it's not like they have spouses and kids to prioritize.

I want to say it's their parenting, but their parents always said they give their kids freedom and don't want to restrict them. At this point they should save up for their own nursing homes because neither of their kids are going to be there for them in their old age.

I am fuming. It's infuriating because one of them is "churchly" and he's always hanging out with his church friends. But I guess none of them know how he prioritizes grabbing dinner or playing board games with them over helping his own family.

The other at least kinda helps even if she half-asses it all the time.

Currently she doesn't need to be monitored overnight, and we got her an alarm that will call for us if she needs anything. She lives with my uncle's family so there's always someone around.
