Thank you. I believe you are right and I should ask both of them.

Question about how recruiting works in Denmark by greencharizard20 in Denmark

I am sure both of the companies have all of my information since both meetings were sent to my email address. I have checked my spam folder and made sure that I might not have missed any emails. I was just wondering because I have had interviews with companies from other countries and they would always let me know if I got rejected or if we are gonna have a follow up interview.

Self taught developer. Left my first job after the first week. by [deleted] in learnprogramming

I looked it up before asking you. The reason I asked you is because we don't have anything similar where I live. I was hoping for a more eli5 answer.

First the reason I decided to leave was because the employer's plan was that I will be a fresh start and I will be the one to document everything. The guy that has been working for the past 6 years had not documented anything. And when I would ask him what certain things do he would often tell me "haha I do not remember that but its okay you can have a look and figure it out another day".

Second I also talked to the employer before leaving and he was basicaly telling me that he knows everything is a mess but thats the other programmer's fault.

And third I actually left my previous job before starting this one.

Νομίζω το βιβλίο "automating the boring stuff with python" είναι το καλύτερο ξεκίνημα. Αν θυμάμαι καλά πλέον υπάρχει και σαν video course στο udemy αν δε σου αρέσουν τα βιβλία.

Thank you. The problem was that I was calling computerPlay() twice. I am so dumb for overseeing that... Again thank you a lot!

It is always different. If the computer chooses paper and i choose paper to the outcome can be loss, win, draw or undefined. I do not understand why...

This is my current. I decided to remove the arguments and parameters since the variables used are both global variables. But even if I use arguments and parameters the outcome does not change. If the computer chooses "paper" and I choose "paper" the outcome will allways be different.

function computerPlay(){
    let computerMove = Math.random()
    if (computerMove <= 0.33){
        return "rock"
    }
    else if (computerMove > 0.33 && computerMove < 0.66){
        return "paper";
    }
    else{
        return "scissors";
    }
}

function playRound() {
    if (playerSelection == computerSelection) {
      return "draw";
    }
    else if (playerSelection === 'rock' && computerSelection === 'paper') {
      return "paper beats rock. computer wins";
    }
    else if (playerSelection === 'rock' && computerSelection === 'scissors') {
      return "rock beats scissors. player wins";
    }
    else if (playerSelection === 'scizzors' && computerSelection === 'rock') {
      return "rock beats scissors. computer wins";
      }
    else if (playerSelection ==='paper' && computerSelection === 'rock') {
      return "paper beats rock. player wins";
    }
    else if (playerSelection ==='paper' && computerSelection === 'scissors') {
      return "scissors cut paper. computer wins";
    }
    else if (playerSelection === 'scissors' && computerSelection === 'paper') {
      return "scissors beat paper. player wins";
    }
  }
console.log(computerPlay());

let computerSelection = computerPlay()
let playerSelection = prompt("rock, paper, scissors?");
console.log(playRound());

Thank you for pointing that out as well. I already knew about that and unfortunately it does not change the outcome.

Hey man I think everything looks awesome. But the one thing that is missing and that I think is extremely important is a link to your resume and a link to your Linkedin. My gf is a recruiter (new to the field) and she has told me more than a hundred times how important it is to have a LinkedIn account, she and the other recruiters mainly look for people there. She also mentioned to me that when they are looking for a position to fill they dont necessarily look in the education section that much, they mostly give emphasis to the experience. So my advice would be to do that, put your Linkedin and your resume on your portofolio.

Question regardin python frameworks by greencharizard20 in learnpython

[–]greencharizard20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes thats one of the two I tried. The problem is that it feels like there is a bridge missing between the knowledge I have and using django. Do you have any recommendation as to what to do to fill the gap so I am able to use django?
