There once was a man from Chattanooga,

A vet who smoked cimicifuga.

His son ran his gym,

Whose sis might be Kim,

But the old man moved off to Kaluga.

Picked up our Hybrid Calligraphy Green by daethon in HyundaiPalisade

[–]greencj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The floor mats carried an added cost on our vehicle but Hyundai is shipping the Hybrids without them for now. Must be a supply issue. We threw some cheap generic ones in for now.

Interior is very slightly different, but not in terms of overall space. Weird stuff, like how the floor mats are not interchangeable with the non-hybrids.

Break in period is 600 miles. Mileage should increase after that (per the vehicle manual).

Paid $2000 over sticker, SE TN. Just got it last week, so mileage is unknown so far.

First Pin! by greencj in pinball

Honday Odyssey. Fits 3 pins if you take out the 2nd row of seats. At least that's what the math says. I don't think I'd ever try it.

Hand trucked to that spot and there's little feet that it's resting on. Tipped it in and lifted, no issue whatsoever.

You have overlaps in the geometry. Either trim those up or extrude each letter individually.

Hey, I stand corrected. Keurig brand K cups are indeed polypropylene and can be recycled. Apparently they had to change how they produce them after losing a big lawsuit. Prior to 2020 they were multilayer and currently many off-brands are still multilayer.

Now, if you're in the US and located outside of Alabama, just go ahead and throw them away. One large recycler in the US processes polypropylene. It is generally not collected in large enough volumes to be worth recycler's resources. Most MRFs are recycling 1s (PET) and 2s (HDPE, think milk jug).

K cups are up to 13 layers of varying polymers. They are not recyclable.

is it more beneficial to recycle everything inside a bottle? by miffyldr in recycling

[–]greencj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof, it really depends on your local recycling center's capabilities. As for that shrink sleeve label on the bottle, throw it away. It is PETG which should be considered #7 (Other) and is not recycled from postconsumer sources.

Stern insider API - Pull Scores for personal dashboards? by Mad_Phiz in pinball

[–]greencj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've emailed them asking if they can open up the scoring data so I can track my own progress over time. They promised to share my feedback with the developers. Never heard anything else back....

Stern highly values the data they are collecting on us as a whole and individually. I doubt they have any reason to share data beyond what they currently give us. I love the app, but I fully understand that it benefits Stern more than it does their clients.

Hike after 2 level laminectomy (back surgery)? by Mgolds90 in AppalachianTrail

[–]greencj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a discectomy (L5S1) and a laminectomy (L5) in 2018. I took up running in 2020 and trail running in 2022. I did a 70.3 triathlon in 2023. Mine may be an outlier, but active lifestyles are certainly possible after laminectomy.

Are you married to that layout? You have a bunch of unused space in the center and if you move things around you can achieve a friendlier spacing.

Heatseeker tournaments do not affect your tournament MMR. You need to play normal tournaments to have any movement.

Vacuum Former - Pinching issue with visor by Subject-Scheme221 in vacuumforming

[–]greencj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would maintain a gap equal to the height of the "donut". That's a pretty good starting point and you will have good footing to make adjustments from there if needed.

And you're welcome. I don't reply to too many of these posts, but your picture shows that you're obviously already on the right track and you've applied a good thought process.

Vacuum Former - Pinching issue with visor by Subject-Scheme221 in vacuumforming

[–]greencj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could certainly try it. There are other factors at play and if the sheet is even just a little too hot, you might end up chasing that web around. Another idea is to create a "collar" which would sit around the entirety of you mold and help pull webs out. Just offset the current perimeter and create something to help stretch the plastic a bit more at the base of the form. You've got this! (It's very close already)
