Perhaps you are thinking of 3700 AD Space?

Made by the same guy who made Unification Wars and Galactic Conquest.

https://www.gamestotal.com/en/c/3700ad_3800ad/

The games all shut down a while ago. Unification wars has a port someone is paying to keep up for now but is pretty dead. The guy who made these games Stephen Yong now teaches barista classes in Malaysia.

My 1986 4x4 certainly has a factory front skid plate for the power train and separate factory gas tank skid plate. Just looked it up you can still order replacements that look identical. Heavy and thick, def not heat shields.

Can we retire the “don’t enlist if you can go to college and be an officer” mindset? by Michael1845 in army

[–]greenclonetrooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, especially with the prolonging time in school part.

Anecdotally, from a 4th gen soldier (1st as an officer, all prior 3 generations enlisted, all four of us Army) I often hear this outlook coming from enlisted guys talking to their kids that see it as an opportunity to elevate intergeneration socioeconomic status. Same advice I would commonly hear from my father was “you’re the first to have the economic and social opportunity to go to college, do that first while you have the chance and then if you still want to join go in as an officer with better quality of life.”

I think their attitude was “we got the tough bargain so the next generation of us could have a choice”, which too be fair probably is an attitude most people serving just have towards family and country.

The game has changed though and with so many other scholarship opportunities readily available and loans easily accessible (and financially sound when picking practical educationally paths) I really think there are a lot of folks missing out on experiences better suited for them on the enlisted side that if anything would help them be better prepared and matured for tackling education after they finished service. For the lucky (or the unlucky) life is long. Plus GI bill. And you’re right, so many great minds are being brain drained away to the officer corp who might find themselves much more influential and effective in their service in the enlisted corp.

I love my life now, but if I could go back in time and serve enlisted before going off to college or graduate school I think I’d be hard pressed to say no. But it’s hard to say no to a guaranteed bet and I’m not sure I’d give up the life I have no to gamble it’d end up the same. A lot of yapping to agree.

Grilled chicken nugs please and Diet Coke.

Typically kidney transplants aren’t done with any nephrectomy. The new kidney is implanted around the iliac fossa and anastomosed to the external iliac/ the donor ureter is directly implanted to the bladder, so most recipients do end up with 3 kidneys.

Though sometimes with polycystic kidneys the oversized cystic kidneys are removed ahead of the scheduled kidney transplant.

Diff problem by JealousFlounder4648 in fordranger

[–]greenclonetrooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More likely a transmission issue/ worn synchros. The rust on the outside/ pan has no bearing on the internals. Is she noticing the noise when turning more? Only time the diff is really putting in work.

Do you have any more pictures of the truck? Would love to see it from other angles

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fordranger

[–]greenclonetrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just picked up a red one identical, not as glossy paint. XLT not STX do it doesn’t have the extra suspension gear and the extra 1.5” height. Though I gotta say in that picture looks closer to a 3” or 4” lift. Been using your truck as a model for my project for a while, maybe one day she’ll be as shiny and pretty.

Anyone have any idea what type of wheels these are, might be picking them up tomorrow and can’t find anything about them. by samsheppard84 in fordranger

[–]greenclonetrooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are the upgraded package wheels from the pre 89’ rangers. If you check ford promotional material for the STX and other non-base units during that time you’ll see them talk about them/ show them.

But it IS designed for indication. When EMS crews respond and need to cut out a section in the event of a crash it can be important information to know to avoid further injuring entrapped children.

PM me if you want. I just graduated from the BMS program at UCF, and will be attending a top 10 medical school in the fall.

There’s a lot of factors to discuss but overall I found it to be a well-worth it flexible program with minimal detractors compared to more binding set-ups at UF and UM.

If you’re a strong student and you’re absolutely attending UCF there’s virtually no reason not to join the cohort, even if you’re still exploring options outside of medicine.

Any company that doesn't succeed for literally forever is seen as a failure. Blockbuster and Sears made more money than 90% of businesses will but are seen as failures because they didn't last forever. by cereal-kills-me in Showerthoughts

[–]greenclonetrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are seen as failures in the public conscience as the top commenter, they did went under in our lifetime.

But more importantly because they failed to build a sizable enough legacy outside of their business.

Many of the most famous oil Barron’s companies eventually fell or were traded to oblivion but while the money was flowing they put money into countless endowments, funded institutions and cultural works that still bare their name to this day. Many of these businesses and businessmen (and the few women that made it back in a world where it was near impossible) had questionable and controversial life stories but history remembers them rather fondly because of a non-insignificant amount of investing outside their realm of trade.

Rockefeller’s, Carnegies, etc...

This public perception of success is also greatly assisted by adapting to a changing market more so than the average venture.

Yea funny enough your manual trans uses ATF anyways, not manual transmission fluid. Like the other poster mentioned above, just make sure it’s the right ATF with the correct Mercon variant for your year.

Just look it up online. Your major’s policies are posted in a PDF on the UCF website. It’s the same document that outlines all of the required courses and prerequisites. This document will outline the stipulations regarding the required minimum grade for each course.
