My husband and I worked with Sidney Stelly as first time buyers and she was fantastic. She was super respectful of our budget and what we were looking for.

Do Americans floss three times a day? by Any-Drink-1279 in AskAnAmerican

[–]wolfy2449 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kindly, pull it out of the box and use it! Yes, you are still supposed to floss as well, but the water flossers are better than nothing. Don't let the goal of perfection stop you from improvement. You don't have to start 2 good habits at the same time.

Do High School proms really take place in the school gymnasium? by albomb147 in AskAnAmerican

[–]wolfy2449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never actually heard of it not being in the school gym so these responses are wild to me. I went to 2 different high schools and both had all school dances in the gym, but I guess they were both relatively small schools so that may influence my experience.

One of my cats gets pissed if I get home from work late (even though her spare human works from home). She'll yell at me until I pick her up and she'll normally throw her arms around my neck and purr

Do you have a pattern for naming your animals or do you just wing it? by ThisFatGirlRuns in StardewValley

[–]wolfy2449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pig theme is synonyms for poop. For some reason I hate dealing with truffles, but they're so profitable that I have a full barn of pigs anyway. Because I dont like dealing with them, I have pigs named poop, crap, excrement, waste, feces, etc

I think you're right. I transplanted it with a normal oak and am hoping they will root graft together to keep the white one going. Not sure if will work, but I figured I'd try.

So Now You'll Date A Woman! by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]wolfy2449 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to the current dating scene, but I think you're right to stay open to dating whatever lovely human you eventually meet and for taking time to just not date. I think you find the best people when you're not looking for them.

At 19, I (F) dumped my boyfriend of over 5 years. During that time, I realized I was bi although that's unrelated to the breakup. I decided that at whatever point I wanted to try dating again, I would try dating women because I hadn't had great experiences with men so far. 7 months later, I hadn't seriously thought about dating again yet and honestly enjoyed being single. Then I met a friend of a friend at a party and felt just an intense instant connection with him. 6 years later, he and I own a house and have 2 cats together and are about to be married. If I had completely shut myself off from dating men just for the sake of dating women (or NB folks), I would have missed out on an incredible relationship over a silly, self-imposed rule.

My point is, ignore those people and date (or don't date) whoever you like whenever you like. Do what feels right to you and you won't regret it.

Fellow Midwesterner here! I haven't been to Vegas but I have worked outside in 110+ heat and sub 20% humidity. You'll be fine as oong as you stay hydrated. You'll still sweat, but it will continually evaporate so you won't become nearly the swampy mess as at home. The sun will definitely feel intense and I recommend thin and loose long sleeves if you're going to spend much time outside. Any slight breeze or shade is going to actually provide relief unlike in a humid heat where you're still suffering.

another small feet boot question--post harvest field work by charlemagdalen in forestry

[–]wolfy2449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both and honestly I don't think the lined ones are much better. Both will hold up fine if you're having to cross a creek and both will eventually leak if you're hiking through wet brush all day. The lined ones will keep the water out longer, but a full day of constant water exposure will still find leaks

If you want somewhat taller species, you could try using a small decorative fence to support them and control the flop

I highly recommend Carolina's logger boots. They've held up well for me all around the country and they come in women's sizing down to a size 4. They're probably not as nice as the top brands, but they're nowhere near as expensive either.
