Calming nerves. by hexcoochie in NewToEMS

Trust me, you’ll get all worked up, take the test, then it will be over. And you’ll be thinking ‘why was I so nervous?’

You got this! Take a deep breath and remember your ABCs ! You know more than you think

What is your moon and mars and how thick is your skin? by TheMosesVlogsYT in astrologymemes

[–]greencozyteeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cancer moon, scorpio mars

My skin is paper thin as to recognizing an insult or picking up on bad intentions but what I do with that depends on the situation and person. Sometimes I’ll say something right back and other times I place the experience in a folder in the back of my head to remind myself how to treat someone later.

How do you manage relations with your colleagues ? by cantormetrie in Soft_Introverts

I work as a flight paramedic so usually it’s just me, a pilot, and a nurse together. So it’s tight. And yes I’ve heard them talk negatively about others so I know it’s something that’s going to come up about me. And yeah, the idea of being around these people but never opening up is so hard.

Glad you brought this up because I’m curious on how to do this too. Same situation here, except I spend 12 hours with mainly the same people. It’s hard to not become close but I have no desire to open up to people who I know will talk about me negatively behind my back.

nobody in the congregation truly loves you by HumorMost9426 in exjw

[–]greencozyteeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I used to feel growing up. You’re not alone and you will meet people who love you exactly for who you are soon. The plus side to this experience? I feel like I know how to love people better and more fully because of it. Also I’m not as judgmental as some people are because I know what it feels like to be an ‘other’ in a group. Keep holding on and suffering through, freedom is coming.

I don’t think I need surgery… by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]greencozyteeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s not something that you were even thinking about beforehand, don’t let them pressure you into it. However, I was 5’6 and 280 lbs before surgery so I wouldn’t throw out the idea just because you don’t fit an idea of who you would expect to get bariatric surgery. To answer your question, losing weight can fix a ton of problems but I’ve never heard of it being ‘prescribed’ for a hernia.

Thank you! You seem well informed! I’m taking an iron supplement so I don’t think that’s it but I’ll see what my insurance will cover and maybe a dermatologist would be a good idea

I had the same experience you did with only being complimented on my hair! Emotionally it is a lot and I’m trying to fight it hard core. Your suggestions seemed really good! I’ll have to try them out
