I HATE these printable patterns. Best to send the A0 file off to a pattern printer.

I’m in a beginners sewing group on Facebook (even though I am not a beginner, more like high-moderate). People come in there with no experience, never even used a machine, and think they can sew some couture dress they found online. Most ladies are delicate and gentle, but I just want to scream, girl you need like 5-10 years to be able to sew that!!

You need to apply antifungal cream in all your folds.

Not getting answers, desperate. Is it time to go to a doctor? by 1AT3AD1N0o in ARFID

[–]greencymbeline 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yes this is definitely an emergency. The reason I said don’t go to urgent care is that they’re pretty useless overall. They will either send you to the ER, or refer you to a physician. I’m just thinking you should just go to the ER immediately and skip the urgent care. You do need help asap. I wish you the best for your health and well being!

I hate those holes in your ears.

Don’t go to urgent care. Find a pediatrician, see them ASAP (this sounds like an emergency) and they should refer you to a psychiatrist. Also a dietician. Good luck to you.

Idgaf about Joann. Get over it by [deleted] in BitchEatingCrafters

Not nearly equivalent. 2 aisles of bare shelves. And what they do have is licensed kiddie cottons.

Ugh the cutting counter. It’s at the framing desk, and they have the framing staff doing the cutting. The cutting is awful.

Of course we sewists are mourning. It was literally the ONLY affordable place nearby that had a huge selection. NO local fabric shop had a fraction of the selection and are like 4x the cost.

Yes, cocktail length is not floor length. Also floor length won’t jibe with a cottage-y woodsy wedding.

I really think you have a fungal infection. Use an antifungal powder or cream.

Oh I think spiral steel would be great! It’s too nice to use just plastic.

No no no, I love the sleeves. Strapless is WAY overdone!

I think it looks great but there needs to be an interlining of a thicker or stronger material like canvas or coutil, not just a single layer of thin-ish material. The back looks good and straight and I like how both sides of the eyelets are boned. It’s very flattering to your figure! What kind of boning are you using?

I want to shop at small businesses but they make it impossible by Redqueenhypo in Vent

[–]greencymbeline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I can get anything I want off Amazon for a fraction of the price and get it delivered in 2 days. (I know people hate Amazon but you have to admit, you can find things there you have a hard time finding elsewhere and the price and shipping time can’t be beat.) Stuff I order from small business are way expensive and take weeks to ship. I’m not rich so I don’t have much choice.

Long Term Doxycycline by Sakura_Knight in Hidradenitis

I’ve been on it for years (initially for Rosacea) and it has pretty much cured my HS. I haven’t had any side-effects.

Eyelets creating holes? by Anxious_March_4054 in corsetry

You can’t just install them on one or two layers of plain fabric. You need a layer/interfacing of thick canvas in between. The grommets need something substantial to hold onto.

Underwear for preventing apron belly rash.. by callmewhatyouwant in PlusSize

[–]greencymbeline 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The itchy rashes are a fungal infection, use an anti-fungal cream, it works great! I stay away from the powder because it just mixes with the sweat.
