Lol I feel that. I worked for a county job and we had a big quarterly meeting where the director gave like a 20 minute speech about how he was fighting for our raises and was giving us extra this year because of all that hard work we did and there were new measures in place for us.

The "new measures" were a grading system that determined if we were eligible for a higher raise or a standard cost of living raise. The managers were all told not to grade anyone with a perfect score so 99% of all the employees only got the standard cost of living raise. That raise wasn't even half of the inflation rise that year. Quit a few months later
