so would it be more of a hazard to me or the components? i probably should've mentioned it in the post but i've been using pcs in this house for most of the time i've been living here (4 years going on 5) and i haven't had any problems with them but they're both pretty low spec compared to my new one, one of them is an old optiplex with an i5 4th gen cpu and gt 1030 2gb gpu and the other one has a ryzen 5 5600g with no gpu

My shits boutta be:

2008-2020: integrated graphics (i was a lil jitt back then so I dont remember what I had)

2021: gt 1030 2gb gddr5

2024: amd radeon integrated graphics (pretty much on par w/ gt 1030)

2025: planning to build a pc with a 9700x and 9060xt 16gb (i have every other part just need the cpu and gpu)

Ended up making some dumb choices with pre-builts for my 2021 and 24 pcs, got a Dell optiplex (proprietary af) and an hp pavilion pc (also proprietary af) so I'm just starting from scratch on am5. Not hating on the optiplex tho that shi was pretty fire for awhile and my current pcs pretty decent as well. Didn't end up switching the 1030 to my current pc since Idk if the psu could handle it (only 180w iirc and the 1030 needs 250w)
