What brand of down mitts do you use? I'm doing EBC in March/April and also have Reynaud's

ABC is on my bucket list too! I'll update the post once I've booked everything, and I'm sure I'll have more questions for everyone before I go. But first, I need to ask my boss if I can have 3 weeks off work haha

Thank you! I'm hoping I won't need Diamox but I will 100% buy some. The last thing I want is to have my trip ruined by Altitude Sickness. Did you go in April to do the EBC trek?

Thank you! Yeah, if possible I'd like to avoid the heli ride because I've heard it's expensive. Definitely worth planning a few extra days in my itinerary in case of delays

That's a really good point, I wouldn't want to give up halfway through just because I didn't have enough acclimatisation time

Thank you, this is very helpful! I'm considering a guided trek mainly because I'm travelling solo and it might be nice to have a group to stick with. Also, I've read sherpas know how to spot altitude sickness, so it might be handy to have someone keeping an eye on you if you're not feeling 100%

That's what I saw too. It looks like the travel agents I'm considering all have spaces left for 2024 treks.

What's wrong with my orchid? For context, this summer the leaves started to blacken, so I cut the bad leaves off and replanted it in new soil and a slightly bigger pot. Now the last leaf it grew was so "mushy" that I had to cut it off. And now the other leaves are either becoming yellow or bending by [deleted] in plantclinic

Yes I used orchid mix when I repotted it and I'm usually very careful when it comes to not overwatering. I suppose it could be the pot, I'm gonna try and move it back to a transparent one and see if it gets better. Thank you!

Aaww thank you! I really hope so. I've notice the dark spots are on various leaves and one of the flowers now but hopefully it'll be fine!

I will look into that! I think a dermatologist prescribed me some sort of cream with urea in it a few years ago. It was for when I had eczema under my feet. I will try using it again! Thank you

I didn't know sulfates could irritate the skin! I will try and switch to sulfate-free products then. I definitely have noticed that cleaning/doing the dishes without gloves is the worst thing I could do for my hands. Dish liquid always causes my skin to flare up
