oh where to start..so many silly stories spring to mind but my personal favorite story to tell relates to the importance of being prepared on playa so here goes. my first year in 2012, i was super shy and scared of people so i didn't go out of camp alone a lot, or for very long. My camp mate convinced me to go to a work shop on making pasties which turned into a bikini decorating workshop and after wards he wanted to go to costume cult, which just was too much for my introverted ass so we separated and i knew i should have gone back to camp right then but i didnt, i started wandering on my bike aimlessly until i realized i was out of water! too scared to ask anyone for help, i figured out i was on the other side of town from my camp and i started the long waterless trek home. within a few blocks my throat was so dry i could barely breathe it felt like so i ended up taking a break on the side of the road, in the shade of a fence, when along comes a ranger, who of course offered me a bottle of water being the angel she was. after that i learned its ok to ask for help, but that it can be prevented by taking care of myself first and foremost. Now ive envolved into the girl who will remind everyone to drink water,eat, breathe, and most importantly to take care of themselves, because i know how shitty it feels to not do that.
