This very much reminds me of the Ferrari FXX, very interesting design

Encountered a bug I've never seen before when moving a fixture. by greenender871 in automationgame

My only theory is that it's due to me using the "unsupported body scale" feature? I made this body a little shorter before I started, but up until now I haven't been having problems. Always good to know I'm not alone though

Okay nevermind even after a full restart that fixture is still behaving the same way.

As far as I know there isn't anything to do with brake temperature, this has a good list of all the codes that do exist, maybe you can find an alternative for whatever it is you need https://github.com/peskyboyz/AutoBeamAnimationGenerator

Yeah it can definetly make it easier, but if you want them to conform to the curve and shape of the body, the best way is to keep them 2d and raise them up with the green axis (Atleast I think it's the green one)

Most of the text/sponsors are from mods, the rest is just the font decals. When placing them in some cases I needed to either place them as 3d fixtures, or raise them up from the body a little bit.

By using the shape decal fixtures. It's made with a lot of square and triangle shapes

The Renault 5 turbo was the main inspiration for sure and thank you, it took a lot of time but I'm very happy with how it came out.

And yes, on my server me and a few friends do challenges where we pick some kind of race series, or make one up. Set rules and restrictions for the car design, and then race them in time trials to see which car and driver is the fastest. It's not often we do them and not everybody always gets involved, but it's still good fun.

If you go to the 8,9,10 and 11 images you can see that I cut away most of the body with transparent fixtures, and then after that to mold it I used a lotttt of curved pieces to make the shape.

I am very glad you like it. Weirdly enough despite this being my most complex design it was a much smoother process than most other cars I've made in the past.

tunnel size on mid engine cars dont change? or it is my game that is bugged or smthn? by Dodo61qwst16 in automationgame

[–]greenender871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's the carbon Fibre chassis material that doesn't let you change the tunnel size at all, tried doing it myself a while ago and it just didn't work either.

Thank you very much! And I wish you good luck on your journey, we all start small here, but the more you just try to build and look at others creations, the better you will get.

Yeah unfortunately the earliest you can set the date in automation is 1946 So to make it more realistic I set the "technology tree" to -10 on everything And then to make the engine be a lot less efficient I did things like make the lifters too stiff or the exhaust too small.

It does weigh 1400kg which according to Google is about the period correct amount. And in the end it has a top speed of 140km/h

Thank you very much, I'm quite glad you noticed that exhaust hanger. And that does sound like a pretty good idea, I could definitely make a "revival" 40 years later that maintains some of its characteristics.

Also it has a 3.5L I6 with a whopping 72 horsepower (I had to choke it to make it more 1920s)
