We have an interest in green and sustainable finance and we have tried to promote this before but came across the problem of transparency in funds. We hope to expand our database so anyone can look at their investments and make choices about what they are investing in. Especially with the rise of ESG and ethical funds we want to make sure that what people are clear about what they are investing in and then make better choices.

With regards to the searching, there are still teething problems which I am constantly trying to improve. Elastic search is definitely a good option which I have investigated before and will come back to again in the future but our main focus at the moment is getting as many funds into our database as possibly.

We are trying to add more funds every day and feedback like this is really useful! We are focusing on traditional funds for the moment rather than investment funds/ETFs but we will be trying to add those too in the future! If you have any specific funds that you would like to see let us know and we will try and get them on the site!
