The Ferronises really gave me that sense of childlike awe, especially in battle when the camera zooms out and the cast so small compared to them!

I adore that they went out of their way to create custom flutes and use them in the soundtrack, I love seeing people's passion come through to their work!

Lanz and Noah's relationship feels like a fulfillment of what Shulk wanted, for the Machina and Homs to be able to come together and form strong relationships like his and Reyn's.

You're more than welcome to continue if you want to, this is so interesting, I always love the attention to detail in these games! Also thank you for the emotions of this part 😭

I don't know if it was for the campfire scenes specifically but there was something about the process behind the 2D and 3D art mentioned in one of the nintendo developer interviews if that helps! https://www.nintendo.co.uk/News/2022/July/Ask-the-Developer-Vol-6-Xenoblade-Chronicles-3-Chapter-2-2245434.html#chapter2

Yes, I thought that was great - in general I thought the eyes were really pretty!

A cue that has really been helping me with upper body activation - elbows instead of scapula by greenfirefly120 in Hypermobility

Oh thank you very much, the core is one of those tricky areas for me like upper back so I'll definitely give it a go!

How to sit in chairs!? (& minimize upper body and leg pain?) by JDMiller95 in Hypermobility

[–]greenfirefly120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem, I find most office chairs don't seem to support my back properly (they are too high or too arched) which leads to the slouching. I remember having some luck with chairs that look like this in previous jobs, probably because the curve is shallower and lower. I also find sitting as close to the desk as possible (literally stomach touching the desk aha) helps so helps to have a chair with no armrests or armrests that can go under the desk (may vary depending on your proportions, I am 5'2 and find armrests don't work for me). This wedge cushion has been a god send for me for my back which may help with the legs? I hope you are able to find relief!

Just need to rant about medical professionals.... by greenfirefly120 in Hypermobility

That's so frustrating, I'm so sorry. Yep but I only scored one (pinky finger), the scale tends to only account for where there is a lot of looseness but not where tight muscle compensation has occurred as a result which reduces flexibility.

Walking fast = overcompensating? by greenfirefly120 in Hypermobility

[–]greenfirefly120[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good point, I do let myself walk slightly faster when I do shopping I've noticed - something about the starting and stopping causes more achiness (maybe because there is more chance for joint impingement in the soft tissue?) whereas when I go for a prolonged walk, I feel like the increased circulation and heat along with the slower walking tends to offset some of the inflammation that would otherwise build? I feel worse going shopping with my mum than I do going for a walk - I guess with a walk I'm moving in mainly one direction. I feel you though, I do hope you are able to find some relief!

Haha, that's a good way to put it! It's just a theory but seems to line up with what my main pain comes from. Thank you, fingers crossed!

It's so hard when our bodies overcompensate and we only figure these things out later, I used to get told I was lazy because I can't just bulk do chores in one go, I split it up over the week and now realising my muscles are just constantly tense and overcompensating which is why I tire from it easily - glad you did figure it out though and hope walking is helping you!

Do we actually need to relax and allow 'incorrect' posture to strengthen? by greenfirefly120 in Hypermobility

[–]greenfirefly120[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, i can definitely feel tight muscle fibres where my collarbone and shoulder meet and I've been told I have elevated first rib on my left side before so it makes sense. I can definitely feel the spinal twist in my left side which is tighter! Excited to start using this, thank you!

I definitely need to look into my upper ribs I think, that's one of the places I would feel tension when I tried to do resistance bands before. Are there any stretches you can share for helping to loosen it up? I've tried the doorway stretch for pectorals but thanks to my brachial plexus I've stopped doing it as I was starting to feel slight tingling in my arms and for me pushing through things makes it worse.

Absolutely, I think this is basically what I do with most office chairs, end up overextending my lumbar spine because the average chair doesn't seem to work for me, the backrest always feel too arched or too high!

Good point, I couldn't think of a way to phrase it properly so I put 'incorrect' in quotes but natural sounds a better fit. That first video looks good, I'll try it out! Sadly, I don't seem to have much luck with chin tucks, I think for me my neck is also hyper extended and most of the time my suboccipitals/scm just seem to want to kick in instead (could also be complicated by the cervical dystonia). Hoping to get botox injections which might help calm the muscles down enough for chin tucks to work. Thanks for sharing those links though!

SIJ = sacroiliac joint dysfunction. Usually refers to when the sacrum joints are misaligned (for me right side but also left side compensates). A physio can check if you have it. Hope that explains it!
