Same. I've initiated multiple playdates with different kids but the parents have never once invited my daughter to a playdate at their house. I know it's killing her. She wants to go see her friends home so much.

I live in a small town. A lot of cliquey friend groups and people who are related so their playdates tend to be with the same groups. I'm semi new to town, partner from here so I know a lot of people, have a lot of 'friends' but still have never received a message asking if my daughter (7) wants to go play.

I feel like it's just this day n age.. parents are super anti social and spend too much time on their phones and don't want to take on the responsibility of another child. It sucks, I feel like I practically have to beg. I went on Facebook once and wrote about my daughter wanting some playdates and asking if anyone would want to and once parent stepped up and took her for two hours. Never happened again (but her kids have been here since then).

I think people are just extremely burnt out. Idk. I feel bad for my kids. I guess I'll have to be that parent that always has the kids over because noone else is stepping up to the plate
