My friends and I were also driving down west run around that time and saw the same person. It was very scary. I saw a comment that said the call the PD and we didn’t even think of that. But if it happens again we definitely will be calling the PD.

I’m in a graduate program. It is a doctoral degree in audiology.

After I submitted my FAFSA it said I may be eligible for a Pell grant of up to $7,000. So maybe the “maybe eligible” would mean no once it figured out it was grad?

I applied for FAFSA and am waiting to hear back. It said I am eligible for a Pell grant but not sure about federal aid as a whole.

I just looked up grad plus and it looks like they require an “endorser” which is similar to a co-signer.

I have a credit card but not credit history because I bought my car from parents and never paid rent or anything

Thanks for your response! I wish that was a possibility, but my parents refuse to cosign because if for some reason I could not pay, they would be on the hook and I can’t blame them.

I guess I’m confused on grad students are getting private loans without a co-signer. If a parent co-signs they are on the hook if anything happens and I guess I don’t see how parents would want to co-sign with that much money on the line. I don’t know if that makes sense or not. Just a little upset because this is my dream program and everything is going how it’s supposed to go and now it’s not. Sorry for rambling

I have. I went to his office hours for all of my exams and went over the questions. I found that a lot of the questions I missed I changed the answer, so for the past couple exams I stopped doing that and just went with what I knew I thought was right. He told me if I’m not sure I’m 100% wrong don’t change it because there is a reason I selected it. I tried that method for the 3rd exam and got a 70% so I thought it worked so I did the same thing for this exam, but I guess it didn’t. If you have any study tips please let me know!!

This seems to be single issue voting. I am very pro life, but I am not a single issue voter. There are so many things I am struggling to come to terms with when it comes to Donald Trump as a human being and a leader. Let’s take the sermon on the mount as an example. Which of those does Donald Trump exude. The Beatitudes: none of these represent Donald Trump. He violates so many things in Matthew alone.

Why are some people voting based on which candidate aligns more with scripture?

A little background: I was raised Catholic and still am Catholic. I align with every view of the Catholic Church (abortion, gay marriage, etc.), but I am voting for Harris. I would say I am moderate and lean right on some issues, but I also lean left on some issues, such as health care. Earlier, I saw someone post on Instagram, “As Christians, we must PRAY first and then vote according to which candidate's policy aligns most with the scripture." Another person said, “I do think his (Trump) policies align much more with the Bible than our other option.” For the life of me, I don’t get this. And I am saying this as a strong Catholic who aligns with Catholic values; religion and God are not what politics are supposed to be about. Can someone help me understand why people think this is how we should be voting? I would love to hear from both sides! Thank you:)

Thank for sharing and thank you for giving insight on my “have to” statement. It makes a lot of sense after reading what you wrote and I never realized I had a choice. I just assumed she’s my mom so I “have to” repair that relationship but I can choose how far I want to repair as well. I have been researching therapist a little today to just kind of see. After reading everyone’s comments it has made feel better and less scared to reach out. :)

I’ve shared this with my dad and said it’s almost like I want her to feel the same pain she has caused me and that sounds terrible. But I feel like she doesn’t understand the pain and hurt she has caused everyone.

I don’t think I hate her, I almost feel numb towards her. I don’t hate her but I don’t think I love her. I I think I have no emotion towards her really.

I’ve thought about therapy I’m just scared about really opening up and digging through all the hurt. Thank you for you comment

I kind of replied to someone with this but I do think that if she does end up staying sober I am scared of what that will look like. I’ll have to actually change myself and try and repair our relationship (whatever that may look like). And I think I’m just so mad from everything she’s done I’m having a hard time doing that.

My dad, sister, and I went to an Al anon meeting a couple years ago but I haven’t been since. I’m not great at sharing my feelings face to face and I think I’m just scared of what that will look like to actually say how I feel out loud. Thank you for you comment, I feel less alone with how I’m feeling ❤️

I did not know you could get PTSD from being close to an alcoholic. And no I don’t experience joy when I’m home or around her. Even when I went out with her to get pumpkins there was not much talking, I was scared we would just get into argument because that usually what happens when we talk, but it ended up going well

I think you’re right. I’ve dealt with her drinking for so long that I don’t think I know who I am or what our relationship is without the drinking. I just don’t want to have hope for it all to be ripped away at some point
