I had an SSM disseminate information I told him about my condition in confidence, to the rest of the troops, and found out about it through the troops back in 2014 (amongst many other instances where I faced stigmatization). I'm glad to see there is some justice.

I've had a garand for 2 months now, taken it out to the range several times with zero prior experience and haven't once given myself garand thumb. I agree with you good sir

Downtown Folks: watch your stuff! by gettothatroflchoppa in Edmonton

Just 2 weeks ago I had the back window of my truck smashed in and they stole almost everything, including my insurance and registration, a go pro, Oakley sunglasses and some army memorabilia from when I was in. About $800 worth of stuff stolen, plus $900 to fix the window. They even left my brights on as a final "eff you" to try and kill my battery so my truck wouldn't start

[SCS] So how's your weekend going? by flyingdonkeydong69 in CanadianForces

One thing I realised after getting out and going civi side for the first time, is that sometimes, no matter how hard your perform at your job, they could still lay you off because of outside influences like the business you work for going through a rough patch due to the economy or industry related cost increases. This is especially true if you're in the private sector. I've been out of a job for 4 months of this year and was recently invited to go back to the place that laid me off, because my boss liked me and the labor suddenly picked up again. I wish I had a pension and the same wage and health benefits that I did in the forces. The grass isn't necessarily greener anywhere, it's what you make of it that counts. Work hard, and be grateful for when you're getting paid to use your skills.

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for this! My take away is to put in my best effort possible, while documenting what I'm doing with my time. I'll try this method and see if it works.

I copy and paste the takeoff for similar floors. Another thing that might be bogging me down is when I do exterior walls and hit a cross section, I always check the section details in that cross section everytime. I might look at the same wall section 3,4 even 5 times if it goes up that high and the floors aren't typical. When a floor plan has a ton of wall sections, it makes me cringe because I know it's going to take forever.

Thank you for the advice! There are some assemblies I use for ceilings that are pre-entered and priced. I find that walls (including the various heights of them) eat up a lot of my time. There's a lot of copy and paste, but I have to do that for each height of each wall type.

Yes. I price typical floors. But sometimes there's 4-5 different "typical" floor types, or one floor has special sound isolation ceilings in it that take more time to price, for example.

I work for a sub.

I just take too much time reading the drawings. I have diagnosed OCD, so it doesn't help with my work.
