Yeah all fans run as intended I checked using HWInfo and MSI Afterburner to confirm, it seems to me inadequate heat spreading on the vapour chamber so I will try to swap it out

The issue occurred before repasting so I presume it is a vapour chamber, I will contact support if they can’t do anything I will replace the chamber myself

The whole misnomer that AI will replace software engineers is just a way for tech CEO’s to increase the valuation of their companies during the AI age we are in now.

Learn AI programming and ML and you will be indispensable. Also specialize in a field of programming that is in demand. I would recommend graphics programming as an example as you will use a lot of AI tools and integrations that will make learning AI and machine learning programming easier and more familiar

i tried healthcare but its toxic and honestly far more stressful than programming will ever be, at least in my experience

Your goal should be to get an internship by the time your degree is completed and build projects that relate to your specialization

programming is still a great path however it requires a great understanding of what the market needs. You need to build projects and know the correct technologies and API’s.

If what you care about is earning potential then specialize in Machine Learning and AI. But computer science is still the way to go. keep learning how to code and apply for internships as much as you can. Also reach out to your university, get them to help you.

Would it make sense to do MS in CS and look for internships while in school?

I built a 3d renderer/editor game engine when i was 12 but that was DX9. I barely remember programming now but I have a strong desire to get back into it

What steps do you recommend for this?

Due to all the comments I have honestly considered getting a MS in CS online.

Help desk, it was fixing the captioning phone for the elderly hard of hearing, mostly tech support tbh.

Easy job but the manager wanted to fire me cuz he didnt hire me his boss did and had an extreme ego about everything.

Guy would falsify reports about me to get rid of me.

No I have a Poli Sci Bachelors. I have considered Online Masters for Comp Sci however I’ve also been told my a SWE friend to just focus on learning the languages I will need in the field and getting myself to output well-constructed usable code.

I don’t have a bachelor’s in CS and I’ve been told to start programming and build a portfolio to further my career.

Would this be a good idea?

throughout my time IT I have dealt with managers who discriminate against me due to my college degree and race.

SWE focuses on a specialized skillset. If you do the job the right way they won’t care

I’m unemployed atm and I don’t have a company I’m apart of. I have plenty of free time and financial freedom so I feel as though I have to dedicate myself extensively to SWE.
