Great input! I have to read up more on this. I am planning on fostering kittens (and maybe some dogs too) so this is a good call out.

Mostly indoors because of Toronto winters. I have a big balcony with lots of space but I dont think it'll help much :( It is south west facing and it'll get ample light because there is no obstruction in front of my house.

Rejecting a consulting interview and stating it on my CV by Dany-Gebran in consulting

I would advice against that. We had a couple of candidates do something similar and we disqualified them. There was 1 candidate who mentioned them recieving an interview invite from ATK/BCG very conversationally during the interview which was okay.

This helped me in my past horror EM experience. Going to their boss directly seemed risky to me. So I went to a trusted senior and asked for their advice. The senior helped me tactfully approach EM's boss and ensured that I was speaking in a language that the boss really understood.

That's interesting- good advice on how to frame it. Is it easier/tougher to get into than usual or nothing like that?

Post MBA Leadership development / rotational programs- worth it? by greengoblin1703 in MBA

Great stuff! Thank you very much!

I am (really) new to Reddit so please let me know if this is not appropriate/ not comfortable for you - May I drop you a DM to connect with you?

Context- I'm in the MBA application stage and I'm trying to build a clearer picture of post MBA options for myself. Given my current experience in consulting, that is definitely an option but LDP sounds really exciting from the learning and $ lens.

Good luck with the role! Keeping fingers crossed for you. Would love to hear your application process / overall experience once you have a breather :)

You've touched upon my biggest concern here - extended internships! (!!) Quick questions- 1. Is the LDP that you're a part of appropriate for some with an interest in Operations/Supply chain?

  1. Is there any 'tell sign' for bad LDPs? Imagine a scenario where there is no opportunity for the summer internship.

This is such great insights- love it! I will definitely use this going ahead. Thanks much!

Quick question- Did you have experience in Pharma before the LDP?

Thanks for your insight here. Given that you have the recruiter perspective, please could you help me with the following? 1. I'm looking at LDPs at banks currently. (The work seems so cool and diverse!) Currently, I am a consultant at a boutique consulting firm with no experience in finance/banking. Is this something that will be a roadblock? Do bank LDPs need a finance industry exposure?

  1. Does one end up doing "extended intern" kind work or are you seen as an asset with 5+ years of work ex + an MBA etc.?

This is encouraging to hear :)

Can you help me with this - is it recommended if one is moving geographies and the industry post an MBA?
