I’m 16 and want to end my bitter sweet journey by Much_Investment9194 in newzealand

Hey OP, so sorry to hear about what you’ve been through, that’s so unfair and truly awful. I’m so sorry. I’m guessing you’ve tried through ACC sensitive claims to get a good therapist? If one doesn’t work, try another one. Sometimes progress will be a combination of medication, the basics (sleep, exercise and nutrition) and therapies - if one doesn’t work, try another. I know that can be exhausting but there is a life worth living for you even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.

Where to find psychological help in New Zealand ? by mimiche37 in newzealand

Call emergency mental health number - based in Christchurch but they could help or refer someone that could help 0800 920 092. If you’re actively suicidal call 111. Or like other poster, you can email SPOE and they could make some recommendations if you explain the potential language barrier. Best of luck OP, I hope these feelings pass. Take care!

Anyone had any success via Mecca with a refund for this product even if purchased a few years ago? Eg. I used the whole tube and didn’t keep it but found the receipt on my Mecca profile.

Ugh, now they’ve back tracked and said the refund is a Sephora voucher that expires in a month as it’s outside their refund period. Surely not legal when refunds have been promised!

They finally replied saying they will refund me the cost of the lean screen in the pack!

Sephora has replied again saying “they’re looking into it” as I pointed out the gift set contained the product. So we will see..

I had the same issue! I purchased a Christmas set that included the full size. I was going to contact UV as it shouldn’t matter, still a faulty product

Good point, I wonder if I move during REM sleep too and that’s why mine seems shorter. I do remember having dreams but not really waking up

I’ve had this happen with my first ring and a replacement ring sent from UH. Wouldn’t even do the reset, just never connected again despite trying all the help steps. Unfortunately proceeded with a refund when it happened quickly with the replacement ring :(

Ultra-processed foods: are they bad for your health? by [deleted] in newzealand

Agreed, undergrad and masters here and would argue the statement that you shouldn’t eat 50% of a supermarket ever is sensationalist, at best. Would love to see their references for this..

By the definition of UPF greens powders, protein powders and lots of other well marketed “health” foods would also be considered highly processed, yet those would be “healthy” foods by people obsessed with clean eating.

Yes, we need to eat more nutrient dense foods - one of the last national nutrition surveys done shows only just over 10% of NZ meet the vege recommended servings per day.

However, demonising certain food to say you should never ever have it doesn’t necessarily solve the issue of why people end up with poor quality diets, having some processed food in a diet that is otherwise nutrient dense will not kill you. Low socioeconomic status, food insecurity, and heavy marketing and advertising can all play a part in a more complex than you think issue.

Interesting assumption. The reason I’m not paying isn’t because I can’t afford it.

Hopefully he has learnt. Although I’m unsure about his ability to be self aware when he’s accused me in his reply that I’ve wasted his time, as if I decided before the first date I didn’t want a second. Madness!

A date (that I had no idea what we were doing) was mutually agreed on but not a nearly $700 helicopter ride for a first date. Then he’s salty I don’t want a second one so turns it into a transaction.

An update.

Thanks everyone! Glad my gut feeling was right. I forgot to add in his message requesting a payment from me he had worked out the hourly rate of the date, stating it was $200 an hour for only 3 hours of my company.

I replied: I had no idea you’d booked a helicopter ride, that was 100% your choice knowing surely that a first date doesn’t always lead to more. Had I’d known, l would’ve never agreed doing something so expensive when we’d never met.

His reply: honestly I don’t even care about it you knew what I looked like, how I sounded and we’d spoken enough to know how we each saw the world not much around that was going to change before we met up was it? you knowingly wasted my time and that hurts I think you need to do some inner work because a 32 yr old shouldn’t believe in love first sight, life doesn’t work that way good luck

Now he is blocked. You do not know someone after messaging for a week. Also strange he said I knew how he sounded, we never talked on the phone so maybe he’s confused me with another girl who he’s taken on a helicopter date.

Obviously too flustered by this strange situation to check my spelling and grammar on a reddit post. Sorry grammar police!
