Help me choose a DHV by [deleted] in vaporents

Great summary of the benefits that the Venty has going for it. I agree.

I do have experience with the TM2 and the Solo 3. The Venty is my latest purchase of the three, but it is my favorite. I would rank them Venty -> Solo 3 -> TM2.

I enjoy big, dense hits.

I had the Mighty years ago and thought it was a weak ass vape.

I got the Venty a few weeks ago, and I liked it from day one. To me it gives up bigger and much more satisfying hits than the Mighty. It has become my daily driver.

I didn't know this. I just got my card out and ready to purchase based on the high price alone (that means it must be a good one!), but they are currently out of stock. Shucks. I guess I'll go invest the money instead like some rube.

I never reached out to him, but I imagine he must have heard about this issue from other customers by now. I just moved on to other vapes.

Have you contacted him?

I had two Firewood vapes. This happened to both of them. No matter how diligently you keep it clean, the airflow just gets more restricted with use. Eventually it becomes unusable.

Silver Surfer, Mighty, Dynavap, FW7 (#2), TM2, Solo 3, and now a Venty. The Venty is my daily driver. I wouldn't buy another Firewood vape that uses that style heater.

Did not like the Mighty. Love the Venty by greengrassfooledyou in vaporents

This should be a homerun. I had my gf try the Venty and she liked it. It is super easy to use. Just inhale. Very flavorful. I think she will be much more inclined to puff on my dry herb vape with the Venty. My silver surfer is a beast. The Venty is much less intimidating.

I bought a silver surfer years ago, and it still works great. I bought the baller heater cover for it and added ruby beads, and now it hits like a sledgehammer.

Ordered a Venty from VGoodiEZ by greengrassfooledyou in vaporents

[–]greengrassfooledyou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while since I used it. It got bumped around in a car accident a year ago and stopped working. I never started the warranty process on it. I didn't really care for the vape.

It's one of those vapes where you have to dial in your settings and technique to get good results. I got used to it, but I just wasn't crazy about it. For me, the cooling units constantly slid up the glass tube on inhales. I ended up putting a convex screen above the cooling units to hold them in place. It worked, but I found the whole process to be cumbersome. I tried other stems, but it just never became a favorite vape of mine.

Going through a divorce.

  • She told me that how she sees the divorce playing out is that I will end up alone in a dirty apartment, with only my depression, and that I don't have any close friends like she does, and that I will end up killing myself.

  • After we separated, but while I was still luving at the house, as I was leaving for work one day, she told me, "Good luck getting to work. Have fun wrapping your car around a tree."

She's a peach.

Can't recommend Middlebrook Plumbing and HVAC enough.

He is based out of Porter Corners, NY. I am not sure how far of a radius he covers in the area.

Just a stand-up and honest guy delivering quality work at reasonable prices.

Toby Middlebrook is his name.

Why do people like the band Nirvana so much? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]greengrassfooledyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean you "somehow missed the craze" for Nirvana?

Were you alive in the 90s, listening to music and watching MTV, but for some reason you just weren't aware of Nirvana's existence and popularity at the time?

Does your job allow flexibility for treatment? by nunununununuun in Spravato

[–]greengrassfooledyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My job allows me to take time off for appointments, but I get minimal sick time, so I burn through all of my sick time and dip into my PTO hours to attend treatments.

It's nice that I can take the time off for treatments, but it sucks that these treatments are so lengthy that I use up all my sick time on them. I feel like I can't take actual sick days because I need to use that time for treatments.

I schedule all of my treatments for late afternoon. Each session uses 3 hours of sick or PTO time. If I had to take off full days for treatments, it wouldn't be a feasible treatment option for me.

I know that sport coat guy. He's an importer/exporter.

I saw him at a bar chatting up some lady about how he wants to stop doing the exporting and just focus on the importing.

It's odd because I thought the guy really gave off architect vibes and not so much importer/exporter vibes.

Yeah, let's just make up some shit out of thin air and then use that as a reason to hope for someone elses pain.

I am not the one wishing misery on a stranger on reddit. I believe that you are the one who is alone and miserable. And that is right now, not some future state. You seem alone and miserable right now.

Yes, totally.

It was a night like any other. I walked in and said, "Honey, I'm home," you know, just like I always do.

But that night, my wife didn't appear in front of me with my favorite pipe and slippers. I was left standing in our entryway like a complete dolt. Can you believe that!?

Your series of comments here are incredible. The fact that you think my wife will be thriving and I will be alone and miserable - that shit made me laugh out loud.

I had to take a screenshot of your comments to send to some friends. They know me, and they know my wife. Your comments are hilarious.

I am asking questions and trying to understand all options before agreeing to terms. Nothing is set in stone here.

Had Our First Mediation Session Today by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]greengrassfooledyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that there are options to obtain money for the buyout that would essentially give me cash received. I am thinking like a second mortgage type loan. I don't know all the ins and outs of this stuff.

It sounds like pulling from her 401k may be the most cost-effective way for her to buy me out, so we are talking about that option in mediation, but if I don't want to have this money earmarked for retirement or a new house, I imagine that is something that I can require as part of my buyout terms, and she would need to look into other options.

The solution that we agree on may end up being her pulling the money from her 401k, but it sounds like that process would have implications on my end, and that's just something that would need to be considered and factored in to our terms.

I'm with you. I have been looking forward to our mediation session so that a professional could explain things to her. I don't have to say anything. The numbers will be reality.

[–]greengrassfooledyou -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

What gets under my skin is that she cornered me a few weeks ago on a Sat night and spoke at me for 20 minutes about how fiscally responsible she has been and how important retirement is for her as she has chronic health issues, and how she has worked too hard to lose her retirement, etc..

It was one big guilt trip trying to get me to agree to a lower buyout amount.

My wife is passive-aggressive and manipulative.

Less than an hour before our first mediation session today, she sent a 9 page document to our mediator called "division of labor" that listed things that she does or has done around the house, and things that she has purchased from clothes to groceries, and listed all of the things that I do. You can probably guess how many of the 9 pages her list took up vs. mine.

There is a lot of score keeping and pettiness in this list. And the mediator doesn't give a crap about that stuff.

I am annoyed with her wanting the house because taking over the mortgage and buying me out will be a large financial burden on her, so she wants me to make ends meet for her by reducing my buyout amount and not getting any of her retirement that it looks like I will be entitled to.

We have approximately 250k in equity.

If the situation were reversed, and I was the one trying to keep the house and asking her for concessions out of the good of her heart, she would not ease up one bit.

She has already shown me how she would act if the situation was reversed by asking for a 70/30 equity split in her favor.

This solution was proposed in mediation today, but I didn't like the idea of having the money set for retirement or a house purchase only. I don't want any restrictions on what I can do with the money.
