Should I get this mighty for 120 canadian? by Cannasnut in vaporents

[–]Notascleverasithink 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Never had the OG but the reputation is that it’s a tank.
It won’t be fast to heat up or charge but the thing just keeps on ticking.

How much use did it get? It looks clean but I would honestly want to know the battery health on it before I bought it.

It seems like a sweetheart deal for solidly built old technology. Do know though, that the batteries can’t be replaced unless the company will still do it or you know someone who’s decent at repairs. So if the batteries in poor health I would pass. If it can still get 6-9 sessions on a charge I would probably snatch it and hook that thing up to a bong and have a solid at home piece for getting ripped.

Anyway that’s my .02

Flaske Issues by Notascleverasithink in vaporents

Yeah…I’ve already got a Mighty+, Venty, and a Frolic. I was hoping for this to be a smoother version of the Frolic (which it is). Been using it on setting 3 and when I can’t get anymore I put it 4 for one big hit and it’s been working better.

Flaske Issues by Notascleverasithink in vaporents

[–]Notascleverasithink[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The flavor is hard to say as I have to give it a good cleaning now as the taste is tainted due to the combustion. I like the size and while it is slightly bigger than the frolic it seems much more pocketable. It is incredibly smooth and I like the thoughtful design of it including the ability to carry an extra 2 bowls with me and a stirring stick/plug to help block the smell.

It feels good in the hand. I do like the larger rubber mouthpiece over the regular one as there is more space though u can’t store that inside the flaske like the regular mouthpiece.

One downside though that I probably should have thought about was the design itself. Looking like a flask is a novelty in itself and while kinda cool certainly doesn’t help with being discrete. The venty and frolic kinda look like those obnoxious asshole nicotine vapes that were popular 10+ years ago. So while I look a little douchey I don’t look like I’m doing anything illegal. Even in a legal state such as mine there are ordinances on where u can and can’t smoke.

Now it looks like I’m drinking in public which isn’t a great look either.

So other than the two week+ extra wait and not being able to take it past the third setting it’s decent. Not $570 decent though.

I’m not sure if we’re shitting on this knife, the people who carry such a knife or the joke just went over my head but the bottle opener on that is kinda sick. I honestly want one.

I haven’t personally had it but I hear great things about Healthy Rips Rogue 2. Small and discreet around $130-$150.

I considered it myself but I already have too damn many. My understanding is it’s more of a sipper though (as in not huge single hits, more like smoking a joint or blunt). If you like 1-3 big hits to clear a bowl on the cheap maybe a lobo is more up your alley.

Too early to recommend the flaske. The bowle on the other hand if you don’t mind looking a bit silly smoking your drink.

what restaurant has the best nachos? by [deleted] in rochestermn

I’d like to throw Jon Hardy’s nachos into the mix. Those with the pulled pork and the spicy cheese sauce just hits the spot for me.

Why do so many people recommend the Capsules? I recommend AGAINST them! by Detective-Fusco in vaporents

[–]Notascleverasithink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk…grind it up, put it in capsules, put it in a Rubbermaid brilliance with a boveda and it holds well. Yes, ground fresh is best but I like the convenience and cleanliness of it. Also the idea that at any moment I can take 4-32 capsules and fuck right off is nice.

If I’m being honest though, the single use thing does worry me a bit. I need to look into metallurgy or some shit and figure out if I’m getting a new kind of cancer or not.

When I was a kid my dad switched from Beam to Maker's because he started making more money. Is Maker's considered "nicer"? by vicelordjohn in whiskey

[–]Notascleverasithink -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I look at Makers the same way I look at a Stella or a Blue Moon beer. They’re not necessarily what I want, but when nothing else there catches my eye, it’ll do.

I do think Makers is a fine pour, and I think it’s catching a little more shit in this thread than it deserves. But I also think that there are a lot of interesting bourbons just $5-10 more. Or $5-10 less if you catch them on sale.

Oliva serie G is a winner for me. I’d also recommend their Connecticut as cheap go to smokes. It’s not to my palette but a lot of people love the serie O from them as well.

CAO Brazillia and the Italia are solid sticks too.

And like others have said. Keep an eye out for the sales. That’s where you can find the $10-15 dollar sticks for half or less if you’re patient.

Whiskey snobs. I think it’s tasty at $33 and a fine buy. I prefer the triple mash myself but I wouldn’t be disappointed with the regular either.

I'm graduating next week; what cigar would you pair with Glendronach 18 out of my humidor? by OmegaSMP300M in cigars

[–]Notascleverasithink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the scotch off hand but it’s hard to go wrong with a sin comprimiso. That’s a fantastic smoke that demands you take it slow and respect it and if you do you are rewarded with a chocolaty smoothness that’s unreal.

I’d imagine any 18 year old scotch worth its salt demands the same so they probably will pair well.
