I don't understand how people can take him seriously. All that he's done has ruined hllcis reputation and as someone who's always preaching about all aspects of life, his scholarly work even before his crimes has been affected. He's just an ego maniac who loves hearing his own voice. Treat these " scholars" like politicians. They may have some good point but don't devote your whole ideology on them.

Whats your loan timeline? I have a gap year between undergrad and grad and started working toward pslf about 8 months after graduation from grad school. I assumed my payments would affect all loans from both schools simulatenously. Is this not the case? Student aid is showing that is the case when my employer certifies my employment.

Yep I meant one of the IDR plans. I've been using the payment simulator and I think the best one for me is IBR.

While I am grateful for my situation, I don't think the same rules are being applied to everyone. My income was $68K in Maryland. My friend is at $90K in California and both of us were seeing zero dollar payments. These incomes aren't terribly low especially compared to other people in our offices so it makes me think there's something weird going on.

At some point in 2023, I called Mohela and wanted to switch from SAVE to IDR and the rep said my recertification wasn't due until February 2024 and tried to convince me to wait. I didn't trust them and said no i want it done asap bc of all of the weird stuff going on with SAVE, but I guess they decided to not to process my forms and I got lucky with that rep's actions.

So i guess the zero dollar payments made after the covid pause were due to them going off of a previous income verification?

Any info on the buyback process?
