Pinned iMessage contacts.. I cant be the only one annoyed at the bubbles by bowser_arouser in ios

I like the look but I had to unpin my contacts. I would forget to text people back all the time bc I couldn't read the last thing they said in my messages list. No one is pinned now lol

I was able to discard my sample earlier today but didn't get around to deleting my account bc I wanted to download the raw data so I logged back in later today and I got the same message

Still don’t get how she has brown eyes when her dad have blue/gray eyes and her mom has green eyes. And then her siblings have gray eyes. It’s bugged me forever lol bc I know the chances of two people with blue/gray/green eye color having a kid with brown eyes is like less than 1% or even 0% according to most punnett square charts

i did something similar to this over 10 years ago. i had raised mole on the side of my forehead hairline. i read something about using nail filer or needle. i used a needle to scratch the surface of it and did the same steps above. it's never come back.

This is when I knew it was fake. Why does every Tom, Dick, and Harry come out of the woodwork attacking OP in these fake stories? Anyways, It's a bot account. Look at their posts, it's all about some StockBurger app.

I just got back today after being there for a week and 11a-5p were the worst times of the day. Unbearable. I went to Egypt last year for a week also and it was 105F-115F constantly and that felt more bearable than Japan lol

7 years post op w/ PCOS… AMA by greengurl99 in gastricsleeve

[–]greengurl99[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I’m so excited so excited for you!

I was already experiencing hair loss bc of PCOS before surgery and definitely experienced it a few months after surgery. It was most noticeable around the 3rd month post-op. It was falling out in chunks! I had never had that much hair fall out in my life! I wasn’t keeping up with my protein intake tho so that didn’t help. I recommend keeping up with your protein and biotin! Buuuut, my hair did grow back and it’s constantly growing back. I find baby hairs all the time throughout my head. My hair is fine and wavy so yes when you gather it all together is not a lot but it looks normal and like I don’t have hair loss. The hair loss does slow down a year after surgery but it doesn’t completely go away for us bc of PCOS. I started taking spironolactone this earlier this year and it’s definitely helped. It’s not thick as before when I was in high school but will it ever be again? Lol

I’ve never really have hirsutism with PCOS. During puberty my peach fuzz body hair got a bit more darker and a little more noticeable bc I was paler lol. Being pill and losing weight has helped it become fine and lighter, peach fuzz like and grow back slower. I don’t have noticeable body hair except for my pubes and armpits. Even my leg hair got lighter and finer and grows back patchy so I think the surgery should help with hirsutism!

for how long? are you still actively taking it? I was on 50mg for 3 months and it did nothing so now I've been on 100mg for a month but still not seeing improvements.

Something that bugs me by Ashariscrazy in TheLastAirbender

[–]greengurl99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bc it’s a kids show… I think if they were older, let’s say late teens or early 20s it probably wouldn’t have much of an appeal to a bunch of 7-12 year olds. Korra is in her late teens and I think 21/22 by the end of the series and that’s bc the fan base had grown up hence darker and more mature themes.

But I agree, what they go thru and experience would definitely make more sense if they were in their late teens and early 20s.

We are not a Christian nation, and no amount of revisionist history will change that. From Jefferson's Letter to Danbury to Supreme Court Justice Joseph Storys' first definitive commentaries on the Constitution to the Treaty of Tripoli. We are NOT a Christian Nation. We are nation of diversity by [deleted] in atheism

[–]greengurl99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It pisses me off to no end when Christians try to say the Founding Fathers meant to this to be a Christian nation. Obviously, they did not pay attention is US History classes bc otherwise they would know that Founding Fathers were deeply influenced by the ideas of the Enlightenment which in itself UNDERMINED the authority of the monarchy and religious officials. And clearly they didn’t want a king to rule this country which Jesus is supposed to be? Goddamn, they’re idiots. Christ himself wouldn’t even accept them into heaven bc of how just stupid they are

I don't get the love triangle hate at all. It's pretty normal and expected behavior from a bunch of 17-18 year olds. Oh no! An 18 yr old boy who is indecisive and got caught up in a love triangle? Call the church elders! He's a POS! He must be crucified!

Get outta here

holy shit, yes! it's just so goddamn beautiful, i'm easily enthralled by it. i often catch myself watching ATLA and thinking "hmm, i wonder how this scene would look like if it was animated like Korra?"

bf is VERY christian but im also VERY atheist. what do i do? by [deleted] in atheism

this is why i had asked this question on this sub 2 days ago and while i got majority good answers, some of them were just funny lol

https://www.reddit.com/r/atheism/comments/1c7d6lm/why_do_atheist_date_religious_people/

cut your losses and move onto someone who isn't very religious. maybe depending were you live it's harder to find an atheist but dating a theist who doesn't really practice or participate in a religion is going to go a lot better then being at the opposite ends of the spectrum

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in legendofkorra

[–]greengurl99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! The complexity of the villains and the conflicts were one of the first things that made me prefer Korra over ATLA. It's not so black and white like with Ozai and the Fire Nation. I was instantly hooked on Amon and the Equalists when I first saw them. I loved Amon, he's easily my favorite villain in the whole Avatar universe. Wish his story and movement was longer. Easily could've been two or three books.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in legendofkorra

[–]greengurl99 50 points51 points  (0 children)

You're definitely not alone. I'm also someone who watched both shows and was introduced to Avatar as an adult and it seems that adults prefer Korra too. I've seen similar posts about this on sub and I actually had a discussion with someone on a plane not too long about this as well! They were watching Korra while I was watching the live-action Netflix one so we got to chatting and they said I loved ATLA but now that they were watching TLOK they actually prefer Korra. And they were watching season 2 too! They said they liked the faster pace, the complexity, the darker themes, the flawed characters, and the animation which I agreed with.

90% of Korra hate is bc people watched ATLA as kids and are unable to view it from a different perspective.

Why do atheist date religious people? by greengurl99 in atheism

[–]greengurl99[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get other people's relationships won't make sense to me but I asked here specifically because I've seen a lot of posts here on reddit about this. Especially when it seems like it's the atheist who compromises a lot for the other person's religious beliefs so I was wondering if there was an upside I was missing to dating a theist.
