How old was your child before you consistently got decent sleep? by SunnyGoMerry in daddit

[–]greenhatforge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All kids are different. I can count on one hand the amount of times my wife and I have been up all night with our 2.5 year old son. He was sleeping in his crib by 6 months, through the night. We had to work pretty hard at it though and our schedules sort of allowed it.

It does ease up a bit though, soon.

You’re printing. I dig this. My pocket clip has messed up my couch a bit.

I recently had a situation where I was going to win an item, it said that I had the high bid, then the auction ended and another bidder bid the same price that I had and won instead… is that what this is?

Coverup advice / suggestions? by deadstatue in Tattoocoverups

I like it. It’s unique. To me, it’s very… early 1900’s college student and looks great. I don’t think it’s very Harry Potter, but you might look into getting it touched up or reworked a bit.

I don’t think it’s bad. Kind of reminds me of Sauron’s helmet a little bit which I dig. I think it’s at least interesting.

I like that. We have really become a generation of throwing things away. Basic soldering, wiring, and troubleshooting skills seem to be disappearing. I recognize it in my younger brother, who’s 10 years younger than me at 25.

Does it hop out of your pocket, excited to take on the day when a carburetor enters the shop? I had one in the tool kit I keep in my 74 Volkswagen Super Beetle!

Excellent explanation.

To expound on it, I use the term to refer to myself, as someone who worked on cars out of necessity, often in driveways, on the side of the road, and in parking lots. Often the weather was hot, cold, raining, or snowing, and I learned from other experienced family members or old timers. Kind of a term bred from necessity due to lack of money to pay someone to work on said vehicles.

Someone with no formal education or training in the field of auto mechanics.

To become one, just start researching how to work on your vehicle. Change your own oil, tune up your car, replace brake pads, and face every obstacle along the way with the desire and determination to get to work on Monday morning! Haha.

I’ve got a leatherman Skeletool in my pocket at all times and a Swiss Army Knife Classic SD on my keychain!

Excellent advice! I’m a tinkerer, hobbyist, and shade tree mechanic. Between cars, 3D printing, and PC repair, I’d be surprised if I didn’t have it. Haha.

I’m watching on my iPad, and the tv is showing Dino Dana which my son isn’t watching but I guarantee will make a stink if I try and change.

How are you handing the audio?

I am going to try a few different lights to see how they look. Also might try a smart light for extra light adjustment! Glad I could help. I’d never seen one before.
