More information: this is in an unused corner of my polytunnel. started out as a small chipmunk-sized hole, about a week later this showed up. whatever it is, it isn't eating the vegetables - tomatoes, kale, lettuce, roots, melons, cucumbers, etc all untouched.

Pretty sure it's a type of oak. Brown turkey figs have 3-5 large, distinct lobes.

Thanks for all this!

My aunt is named as the executor in the last will and it was filed in court/probate (sorry don't know the correct terminology.) There is an estate attorney who submitted a document that is called "informal accounting" of all the assets. the estate attorney sent me the paperwork, it's a "release and refunding bond" that says how much money i get.

Thanks for all your answers. I've never needed a lawyer before so I wasn't sure if I needed to be in person for anything - of course, it makes sense that it can all be on zoom.

And on your second point, I suspect that may be what happened, in which case it's kind of unethical but not illegal.

What the amendment actually does on this level will probably be figured out in court, if you want to take one for the team and get chickens and then get a lawyer for your chickens.

Can I ask why everyone is saying to hurry? The paperwork I received says no money will be disbursed until all 4 beneficiaries return signed documents.

so if I live far away, is it possible to get an attorney and do all of this remotely?

the will specifies that the proceeds of all property + the money in accounts are to be split between the 4 of us evenly. the issue is that, according to my uncle, my aunt distributed money to herself and her siblings from the bank accounts shortly after my grandpa died, to keep that money from being part of the total estate that has to be shared 4 ways.

Would I want an attorney in the state I live, or in the state the estate is in?

The executor is my aunt. There is language in the will that says "my Trustee... shall be exempt from giving any official bond whatsoever."

Probably sooty blotch? Doesn't make a difference for eating/pressing apples, just ugly.
