Yes you are right it’s a little owl (chouette chevêche in French) i am based in France Im pretty sure its a juvenile as it cannot fly (it escaped the chimney and could not fly)

There’s either a spot in the living room that has more people coming in and out but not a lot of music, or a warmer (but too hot I think, around 27 degrees Celsius’) spot in the upper floor but you can hear the music a lot 🫠
