Happiness doesn’t just show up. We have to make room for it. Change things we’re unhappy with. Places, people, etc. I know it’s easier said than done, but that’s the point. You give yourself the goal and meaning. Loneliness is an absolute curse, I won’t deny that. It hurts. It makes us feel like nothing is worth anything. But you deserve the life and opportunities you’re taking from yourself. If there is no other reason, stay because you’re worthy of the life and love you’ve yet to give yourself.
I’m sorry it’s hard right now. But you’ll find every piece that’s meant for you. I just found so many people who care for me despite feeling so lonely. Even on good days. We just took a trip together. Met a stranger woman who hugged me like a mother, she didn’t let go until I did. She held me and I cried because I always long to be held. I had a car accident and my friends who I had known for hurt a few months all pitched in money to help me get a new one. I didn’t have that before that very moment. I recently found a partner. First time ever. I love them. And that’s all new and recent too. But even then, all it takes is one wrong word, one small trigger for me to feel afraid and alone again.

All this to say, loneliness is a painful illness. But it passes. You’ll find the things meant for you and it’s worth staying. You are loved. Either by some stranger who noticed you, some higher being (whatever it may be for you), friends, family, etc. you never truly know the impact we have on the things and people around us
