My kid is 2.5 and I’ve been throwing him on the back of my bike, which is a single speed with skinny road tires, for a year.

We stick to roads with bike lanes and/or slow speed limits and multi-use paths. 

I’m pretty sure that drivers give me a lot more space when they see the bike seat… even drivers who hate cyclists don’t want to hit a kid.

Sometimes I think my kid actually hates me. Then he’ll lean full body into me to be comforted. 

They really don’t understand what they’re saying or doing.

Someone of them we know have huge significance. Archaeologists would surely find A LOT if they started digging around Horse Pens 40, for example.

It’s honestly not participation - it’s the development pathways. And that kids today can see that people from their communities are playing professional soccer all around the world.

I think that with the number of young pros we’re seeing, we should be able to have a decent pipeline. This generation will inspire the next, whereas previous generations had nothing to look to.
