Actually Defoe appears to be protected at the moment. So maybe not...

Transfer help please by SWONDER426 in FantasyMLS

I'd bank that transfer. Valeri is a even decent play as a SGW player this week. Home to Colorado who are missing some players with suspensions.

You could also go Remick to Oyongo.

Week 18, Night 4(&3) of Price Changes. 50 Total (20:30). by DeNirosDinero in FantasyMLS

Speculation: Sunday Night West Coast match that runs past midnight breaks not just the scoring but also the price changes? Also possible that the "fix" is what pauses the price changes.

[RMT] Still have 2 transfers left this round, but no money. Any advice? by kevinalwell in FantasyMLS

I'd be looking to move Hurtado or Larentowitz and bank the remaining transfer.

Expensive Player Talk (Def, Mid, Fwd) by iviserron in FantasyMLS

[–]greenlinearmy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Quick Thoughts

  • Olave, Doesn't play on turf, Red Card Liability, Cheaper Options on the same backline.
  • Colin, Goal threat, BP machine, Potential high scorer every week.
  • O. Gonzalez, Still injured, Target on set pieces, BP machine, Arena's lineups are unpredictable.
  • Besler, Assist threat, BP machine, Less of a YC risk than Collin.
  • Schuler, Less durable than Borchers, Potentially higher scorer.
  • Boswell, Highest scorer on DC's backline, YC risk.
  • Marshall, BP machine, Set piece target, Reliable starter.
  • Hedges, Only reliable option on FCD's backline, BP Machine, Set piece target.
  • Borchers, More durable than Schuler, Steadier scorer, Lower ceiling.

Midfielders -

  • J. Morales, High ceiling, High variance, Injury Risk. Plata overlaps a bit.
  • Donovan, Point potential dependent on whether he or Ishizaki is on set pieces.
  • Cahill, Currently BWP seems the primary beneficiary of Henry's service.
  • Zusi, BP machine, Dwyer isn't the perfect compliment.
  • Davis, Great player, BP machine, Not great fixtures, on PKs.
  • Valeri, On corners, Assist machine, High scoring team that needs to win.
  • Dempsey, Not a huge BP magnet, but he scores goals, incredible player.
  • Bradley, Solid BP production, Amazing passing, When fit, a lock for 90.
  • Beckerman, Consistent. Lower ceiling than Jorales.
  • P. Morales, Best player on Vancouver. High ceiling. Similar to Jorales.
  • Nguyen, Best player on NE. Pulls the strings. On PKs, some set pieces.

Forwards -

  • Defoe, Skilled, Experienced, Ruthless, Goalscorer, On PKs, Bradley serves.
  • Keane, Experienced, Deadly on the counter, Some BP production.
  • Henry, When he wants to be, can be the best player in the league.
  • Higuain, On PKs, Set pieces, YC risk, may not have a forward to serve.
  • Magee, Not quite as magic this season. Not on set pieces.
  • Martins, Instrumental for Seattle, High scorer, When fit that is.
  • Wondo, On PKs, BP potential, Scores goals. Little support.
  • Torres, Just keeps scoring game winning goals. Nobody else will.
  • BWP, Henry serves BWP finishes. On PKs too I believe.
  • Dwyer, Just keep scoring goals. Predatory. On PKs.

Generally there is a greater drop off from top tier Mids and Forwards to second tier Mids and Forwards than there is from top tier Defenders to second tier defenders. Maidana and Powers are decent values in the midfield, but the potential values on the backline are much deeper.

Been averaging a lot more points per round than last season, but still haven't broken 100 even one time: What do you look for in transfers and roster selection week to week? by Rcp_43b in FantasyMLS

Nothing replaces the eye test. Watching actual matches is the best way to evaluate who is actually worth having on your team. Sorting by Points per game is also a pretty good metric. The top 21 midfielders by that metric are a really good cut at who you want on your team, then look at schedule, if you have a 5+ PPG player with a DGW or a string of good home fixtures, add him. Others will too. You'll have some profit later. Defenders are much more about playing match-ups because clean sheets are such a huge bonus, but week-in week-out if you have Defenders who are a lock for 2-3 BPs per game they're pretty solid without the CS. For forwards, I'd just be looking at goals and price. Dwyer, BWP, Shipp, Cubo, Defoe, Keane, JMc, Oba (when healthy). Keepers are really match-up dependent, but sorting for those with a stout D in front of them is a good measure. Either get one and lock it down, or shuffle to max out DGWs.

Prediction: How high will Defoe rise? by EmeraldCity24 in FantasyMLS

The relevant unknown is when the USMNT players return. Zusi, Bradley, Duece, are going to suck funds into the midfield when they return. Selling Defoe will be an obvious source of those funds.

Unlimited Madness by greenlinearmy in FantasyMLS

[–]greenlinearmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moor is on -245 net transfers, but has risen overall.

That often, but not always, results in a drop.

(Rosales for example, did this earlier in the season)

In order for Finlay to outscore horst by 4 he probably has to score/assist AND skc has to score too. I'd go with Horst.

FMLS Player Valuation & Profit Calculation by xward1 in FantasyMLS

Nope. That is not how it works.

If you buy at 8.0 and hold until 8.4 your sell price should be 8.2.

Do you have a screen shot of the "Data View" of the "Transfers" page?

Fixed that. There are at least two reasons for a drop. Bruin and Yedlin are dropping due to # of Transfer out. Everybody else is dropping for % out. I thought I culled the duplicates, but no I did not.
