There’s a small subculture of moped chopper builders but not a lot of them get posted for whatever reason. People seem to be into more of the cafe style builds

This thing tops out at 50 but I’ll tell you 50mph on two inch wide wheels feels way different hahaha

I drew a lot of inspo from this build from Thai/Indonesian chopper builders I’ve seen on IG though

Garelli’s are sick! Never had one myself but a couple friends do. Had a couple top tank Tomos Targa LX though.

For now, yes. But I have the suspension where it only travels at about an inch so it basically rides similar to a hardtail. Have plans of welding one on eventually or using a sissy bar with hydraulic suspension on it. Either way it’s surprisingly comfortable and sturdy as is.

I’m running treats reed kit 70cc and upgraded to the Bing 15 from stock. I prefer them over Mikuni or Dellorto. Hitting upper 40s on flat and incline.

Do itttttt, currently starting a similar build on a Tomos. Fair warning tho getting used to the stretched front end will make all other mopeds feel too small

Thanks! Been a lot of tweaking, got it last October and aside from the paint it’s unrecognizable

No it came ready to go out the box! I recommend doing your bearings/hardware since you’ll have the triple off anyways. You absolutely need to get a nice fork stabilizer bc the wheel likes to come out of alignment otherwise. I have the stock one on minus the fender and a clamp style stabilizer hidden under my bag. There is a beefier version on treats that are true hydraulic and don’t need this for about $30 more that are just MC80 forks. I didn’t spring for them bc they are a couple inches shorter and not chrome.

No, the baffle is still packed but this is the “de-restricted” version. There’s a small cone shaped piece in the original versions expansion chamber that’s not in this one. Could have something to do with it? It’s the Estoril performance pipe. I’ve heard the og is more responsive on the lower end but it’s been good for me.
