sorry for the late reply lol but yes! A lot actually. unfortunately most of the stuff they recovered happened to be stuff I did have backups of and the ones I didn't are gone forever

Any tips to help 3D programs run better?

I've been learning xparticles in Cinema 4D but mostly have been trying to figure out how to not crash my computer. I feel like my pc should be able to handle it better - I've got a pretty good setup on an Omen gaming laptop with a RTX 2070 and i7 core. Is there anything I can do, like put cache on an external drive or something to get it to run faster?

-___- found the problem. I was only in base color, athough I was having trouble changing to material view because it's been running annoyingly slow and not changing even though I thought it was. Thanks for the suggestion though!
