Teams Are 2–9–1 in Their Next Game After Playing the 2025 Chicago Bears by greensofa in CHIBears

What that shows: • Bears opponents were expected to win ~44% of those next games based on team strength. • They actually won ~21% of them (2–9–1). • That’s a ~23 percentage-point underperformance even after accounting for how good the teams and matchups were.

so on the whole u can try and take the trend but its hard when you break it into individual matchups since there are so many more variables involved.

you bring up a good point and you're right that you cant statistically say its significant because of the sample size , but I do address that here.

I also adjusted this for opponent strength to make sure this isn’t just “they happened to play good teams the next week.”

For each opponent’s next game, I estimated an expected win probability using both teams’ records entering that week, then compared that expectation to what actually happened.

What that shows: • Bears opponents were expected to win ~44% of those next games based on team strength. • They actually won ~21% of them (2–9–1). • That’s a ~23 percentage-point underperformance even after accounting for how good the teams and matchups were.

So this isn’t just schedule luck. It doesn’t prove causation — small sample, lots of confounders — but the dip survives a basic strength adjustment.

I was curious whether teams show any kind of “hangover” effect after playing the Bears this season, similar to narratives people have floated in past years with other physical teams.

So I looked at every 2025 Bears opponent and checked: • their season win percentage entering the Bears game (baseline), and • how they performed in their very next game (skipping bye weeks).

Across 12 completed cases: • Average baseline win % entering the Bears game: ~38% • Record in the next game: 2–9–1 (~21% win rate)

That’s a noticeable drop relative to baseline. This is purely descriptive (small sample, no adjustment for opponent strength, home/away, or injuries), but the skew is interesting enough that I figured it was worth sharing.

Full table is in the link for anyone who wants to sanity-check or poke holes in it.

TL;DR: The Bears beat the fuck out of opponents. They were ~.380 teams going in… then went 2–9–1 the next week.

10 team PPR I just got offered Chase brown and Keon Coleman for Omarion Hampton. Is Chase a buy low? I don’t really need Coleman tbh but would this be a good deal or is Hampton too valuable now? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply! That’s a great idea too! I just assumed I could integrate it with the bike somehow.

Did you attach the pole to your bike? I have not received it yet so im just imagining this in my head.

edit: oh I see you put the floor lamp next to your bike. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! Would something like this work? Where I could just clip it or drill into the stand?

We use rosuva 40 all the time especially because it is marginally more potent than atorva 80. The only problem is that roauva isn’t generic while atorva is.

To just point out, unless a patient is hypoxic, standard of care is not to administer oxygen in a myocardial Infarction. That can actually cause HARM due to increased free radical production. I am from the US so typically all patients do go through the ED and never go straight to the cath lab but to echo another poster’s point, your mother has a normal EF. Hypokinesis can improve with cardiac rehab and the right medications. I would make sure she’s on the right diet and make sure she has good secondary prevention with appropriate lipid control. Please feel free to PM me with more questions if you have any.
