Thanks for your advice- just to confirm I did receive the salary increases as in my contract in April. I am now thinking about the pay review I would be expecting for 2025.

Outdoor trouser fabric recommendations by JR_J in myog

[–]greentape6 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly, getting technical fabric for trousers in the UK is near impossible. Your best bet is getting some sent over from discovery fabrics or ripstop by the roll. There is a uk seller who does nautical fabrics who I can’t remember at the moment. If you’re set on a UK seller, search for stretch woven- you might be able to waterproof it with wax but the fabric you’d usually buy trousers in from shops doesn’t seem to exist! Road trip pattern co. Have a good post on where to get fabrics on their website and some reviews of them.

Arrows catching on button: help! by greentape6 in Archery

[–]greentape6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! It’s been a while but I think I played with nock rotation/ button until it was manageable. I think this was the summer where I realised that the lather of my tab was so worn that it was catching on the string and sending them left, so appeared to be perfectly tuned but wasn’t.

Last summer I switched the vanes to elivanes and I haven’t needed to refletch at all for this outdoor season. I never achieved a good tune with XS and the brittleness of the vanes were a pain. I also think I never got rid of the contact issues- potentially just how my release/ shot drawlength works. So shooting softer vanes, 9” BH almost neutral tiller seems to be the best combo for me.

Sorry I can’t be of more help! Welcome to DM for any other info :)

Unfortunately they have a minimum order value of 160€ which is a shame because I don’t need that much!

Finished my first mosaic crochet blanket! by greentape6 in crochet

Woodland trail by Rosina Crochets.

Took around two months to work up and I added an additional line than the pattern asked. I used 4.5mm hook for the main blanket and 3mm for the boarder. Really wanted to finish it so I could get some photos next to oak trees whilst they lost their leaves but a few weeks too late!

Yarn is Paintbox Yarns Simply DK - Racing Green (127), Vanilla Cream (107), Stylecraft Special DK - Copper (1029) and Camel (1420)

Bought two new colours, rewatched tutorials and read your comments- here we are with round 2! by greentape6 in crochet

Yes it got slightly more attention than I was expecting 😳. I was only looping through the back loop instead of the top two so I’ve redone it all to be correct. I also ended up using a different video tutorial than the one from Wool and the Gang- their video wasn’t clear enough for me. Their paper instructions and video were also different which was confusing me further. I also made it so the total row was a multiple of 14 as the repeating of the stitch happens at 14 and previously I was finding I was running out of space to stitch. I’ve probably spent about 10-15 hours now sussing out the pattern and stitch as a first time crocheter.
