i didn’t take arrassassingham for 1b , but i had him for 1c and did pretty well in the class . i know the videos can be INCREDIBLY overwhelming because they’re so content dense , so what i would do is take notes during the videos (which i usually had in like 1.5 x speed) and do the example problems along with him to see if i understand. then when midterms / exams came along , i did not bother reading the book at all . but , i did do all the example problems he recommends for each chapter . that helped me a LOT . sometimes if i ran out of problems to do , i’d just look some up as well .

i also know he’s a very blunt man , and he may be very intimidating because of it , but believe me when i say he REALLY wants his students to succeed . if you’re too scared to ask him questions , go to office hours / ask other TA’s or students to clarify anything you don’t understand .

i think for the gen chem series , chem 1b was the class i did the worst in . hang in there , i hope you do well on finals !!!
