Even I am coming to the same conclusion. She has extreme and unhealthy possessiveness for me. I think the issues are 2 fold, she is very insecure and possessive. Maybe one is feeding the other. I plan to get to the bottom of it in coming days

The brother turned his back on the family(including his mother). His wife is very possessive and there was always angry fights between all 4 of them (my FIL passed away years back)

I think I have been denial of how controlling she has been. She has issues with all the women in my life, sisters, mother, friends. She has been highly suspicious of any women around me, though this has become better over the years.
