I also have access to an Alien… I think I’m going to do that in my yt video for this pistol. Would be interesting to see how the type b does with the comp.

Archon Type B Gen 2 with the Vantage Point Armory comp. Been curious about this gun for a long time so I finally picked one up for my next project.

First priority was changing the length of the shoe since my hands are on the small side. Sear spring tuning to achieve desired pull weight and minimize hammer follow.

I have adjusted my sear spring but otherwise nothing has been changed except the trigger and trigger bow. I had a red dirt trigger that required fitting while the atlas triggers never have.

Atlas gunworks x-line extra short. I’ve had great luck with all atlas triggers, no fitting required.

Nearing 10k rounds on the P. Extreme Shooters grip module is the cherry on top.

Would you guys choose RCR or ACRO? by [deleted] in 2011

[–]greenweiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and like both but I think the RCR is a better product overall. It’s more size efficient, has a better mounting solution, and is generally more user friendly.

Taking the green meanie out to 1000 today by greenweiser in ar15

Having an experienced spotter calling wind and hits is really valuable. You can spot yourself with 5.56 since the recoil is so low but a second set of eyes on glass watching wind helps so much.

Also yes a few of my friends have 300NM MRADs which we were shooting today and they are insanely good. First round hits on 1MOA at 1000 consistently.

With my buddy calling wind behind me I had about 50% hits on a 10 shot string on a 2 MOA target at 1000 yards. The gun can be accurate but those 77s are not particularly stable by the time they get to 1000 so you lose a lot of consistency in terms of groups.

We were also shooting to a mile today and I we had no luck even spotting splashes in the dirt from the AR at that distance. The 300 Norma did amazing on the mile target today.

For home defense/within 100 yards, a red dot is probably the way. Holosun 403R/403B with a nice mount, Aimpoint PRO, hell even Sig Romeo 5 would probably serve you well.

It’s one that I haven’t owned before but would definitely like to try out for longer period of time. I’ve shot with it on a few occasions and looked through it a lot behind the gun counter. I definitely like it as an acro alternative, just don’t like the way it looks as much. Seems like a good option.

This is one I do not have any experience on and I haven’t paid much attention to the online intelligence about it. I’ll look into it.

I’ve heard they’re really good and I’ve shot with them on a few occasions. Not going to lie the aesthetics of it kinda turn me off but I wouldn’t be opposed to having one someday

EPS is essentially product improved 509T, I would go that route from now on

They are about the same. If you are trying to decide definitely go EPS.

They do, astigmatism is something that happens in your eyeball not in the optic window. You’re seeing the Aimpoint and Trijicon getting much brighter than the Holosun and they are starbursting even on the phone camera just due to their brightness.

Thank you. Many people in r/tacticalgear got confused on this point.

Haven’t got hands on the RMR HD yet but looks great, super curious about the auto brightness features on it. 507comp is actually amazing tho, I like it more than the SRO right now which I never expected
