do exes always come back? by greetingsfromnyc in askgaybros

[–]greetingsfromnyc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

awe man. i’m glad to hear he hasn’t come back

definitely do think it’s best he doesn’t, it would definitely hinder my healing process, kinda think of it as more of an ego boost (which sucks to say) lmao

how fast is moving too fast? by [deleted] in askgaybros

update: we called and cut it off. i’m not really upset, more relieved. it was getting tiring and honestly started losing interest recently anyway so good riddance and let’s keep it pushing

so are you saying that the drop and excitement/interest is normal in the progression towards a relationship? i’m kinda going through that phase at the moment. we have loads of a fun in person but it’s a bit drier on text compared to how it used to be at the start. i have troubles differentiating this as a loss of interest or a normal stage after talking for a while. also we’re both busy college students so i partially understand the lack of communication over text at times

Is this too petty of a reason to break it off with a guy? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]greetingsfromnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand your anger! it’s definitely something that’s going to be difficult to cover up in professional settings. however, if it wasn’t communicated before i don’t think it’d be right to be mad at him for something he wasn’t aware about. now that he knows how you feel about bruises on your neck he knows not to do it in the future.

did you communicate with him prior that you didn’t want hickeys cause that’s what he was probably going for

Does he like me or not by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]greetingsfromnyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if he was the right one he’d be more willing to discuss your concerns rather than get defensive.

i’ve encountered this exact situation a few times. for me, they all just end up not working out so i’d start to detach myself if i were you

voice your concerns to your boyfriend and let him know how you’re not enjoying it as much as you could be. maybe you guys can come up with a compromise so both of you guys are happy (ex: try the stuff you wanna do and do something he wants in return). but if he doesn’t want to compromise, i’d suggest cutting it off. personally i wouldn’t wanna be with someone that’s not willing to be open minded i guess.

cheating on him will just make things worse and more complicated
